American automaker Jeep recently announced a teaser on Twitter for its upcoming Compass Trailhawk SUV for the Indian market. With a #SuperiorByNature tagline, the new Compass Trailhawk will reportedly sport brand-new exterior updates along with additional interior features. Meanwhile, Indian enthusiasts managed to acquire and leak the spec-sheet of the upcoming SUV, which lists major details and features. Previous reports and sources suggest that Jeep will launch the new Compass Trailhawk in India during March 2022.
The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk will retain the same overall design as the previous-gen version launched back in 2017. However, Jeep will introduce the same exterior updates to the Compass Trailhawk from the regular Compass introduced in 2021. The leaked spec-sheet suggests that the SUV will feature new LED projector headlamps, 17-inch heavy-duty alloy wheels, and LED DRLs. The SUV will also sport a dual-tone roof, rear red tow hook, powered tailgate, reprofiled bumpers, and a panoramic sunroof.
Jeep will reportedly equip the upcoming Compass Trailhawk with the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, Multijet II turbo-diesel motor with 4X4 functionality. This engine will develop 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque via a 9-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. The SUV will measure 4,400mm in length, 1,818mm in width, 1,657mm in height and sport a wheelbase of 2,636mm. With a 60-litre fuel tank, the upcoming Compass Trailhawk will reportedly feature All-Terrain tyres, and Dynamic Steering Torque (DST).
The SUV will reportedly feature Frequency Selective Damping Suspension, Off-Road Suspension, Terrain-Select with Rock Mode and Hill Descent Control. On the interior, the Compass Trailhawk will get a new 10.1-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity. Along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality, the SUV will get a 9-speaker audio system with an Amplifier. The SUV will also get a 10.2-inch digital driver’s display, wireless charging, dual-zone automatic climate control, and rain-sensing wipers.
Other convenience features include Keyless Entry, Engine Start/Stop button, voice commands, automatic headlamps, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The upcoming Compass Trailhawk will reportedly sport major safety features such as six airbags, Electronic Parking Brake, and Electronic Stability Control. Additional features include a 360-degree parking camera, Hill Start Assist, Ventilated Front Seats, and Black Leather upholstery with red stitching. Front occupants will also get the 8-way Powered Seats with the driver’s getting the Memory Function and Leather-wrapped steering wheel.
