2022 Indian Motorcycle Chief now in India, priced from INR 20.76 lakh

Indian Motorcycle will be launching the 2022 Indian Chief in the Indian market starting at INR 20.76 lakh ex-showroom. The new line up includes the 2022 Indian Chief Dark Horse, the new Chief Bobber Dark Horse and the new Super Chief Limited. The bookings for the new Chief range of Indian Motorcycle starts at INR 3 lakh from all Indian Motorcycle dealerships across the country. Expect deliveries to begin from the second quarter of 2021 after the market launch of the motorcycles.

Indian Chief Dark Horse

The Indian Chief Dark Horse features classic American cruiser styling and comes with an almond-shaped fuel tank, chopped-off fenders rounded LED cluster headlamp, large alloy wheels with machine cut accents, a dark finished engine with machine finish on the cooling fins, twin stacked exhaust with a black finish, a single rider seat, LED taillamps etc. The new Chief Dark Horse is available in three colour options – Black Smoke, Stealth Grey and Alumina Jade Smoke.

Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse

The new Chief Bobber Dark Horse features ape-hanger-style handlebars, low slung stance, single-seat, chopped fenders for a factory-custom look, LED headlamp cluster, LED taillamps, blacked-out engine with machine finish on the cooling fins and an Indian motif on the tank. The Bobber also comes with spoke wire rims and fat front tyre enhancing its custom Bobber design. The Chief Bobber Dark Horse comes with Black Smoke, Titanium Smoke and Sage Brush Smoke.

Indian Super Chief Limited

The new Indian Super Chief Limited features rounded LED headlamps, LED auxiliary lamps, classic tear-drop tank, two up seats with a pillion backrest, saddle bags, chrome finish on the engine and exhaust, spoke wire rims with fat rubber tyres, a large windscreen, relaxed handlebars and full sized footpegs. The Super Chief Limited features Blue Slate Metallic, Black Metallic and Maroon Metallic.

Powertrain & Features

Powering the Chief range is the brand’s Thunderstroke 116 air-cooled V-Twin engine that delivers 162 Nm of torque. The Chief range also comes with a 4-inch Round Ride Command touchscreen display with speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, compass, ambient temperature, gear indicator and a lot more.

In the international market, Indian Motorcycle has also unveiled the ultra-premium Indian Chieftain Elite limited to 120 units worldwide.
