After revealing and opening the bookings for Venue N Line at the end of August 2022, Hyundai has launched the sporty iteration of the compact SUV in India at INR 12.16 lakh ex-showroom. Hyundai says the new Venue N Line will be a segment creator and offer customers an unfiltered sporty and fun driving experience.
Hyundai India will offer the Venue N Line in two variants – N6 and N8. This is similar to what we see with the i20 N Line. However, unlike the i20 N Line, there will not be an iMT option. Thus, it will only come with a DCT gearbox.
Pricing for the 2022 Hyundai Venue N Line starts at INR 12,16,000 ex-showroom for the N6 variant. Meanwhile, the 2022 Hyundai Venue N Line in the top-end variant, N8, comes with a sticker price of INR 13,15,000 ex-showroom. Customers can also opt for a Dual-Tone option for an additional cost of INR 15,000. Hyundai also mentioned that these are introductory prices.
As for colour options, the 2022 Hyundai Venue N Line will be available in 2 Montone and 3 Dual-Tone colour options. The Monotone colour options are – Shadow Grey and Polar White. On the other hand, the Venue N Line’s Dual-Tone colour options include – Thunder Blue with Phantom Black roof, Polar White with Phantom Black roof and Shadow Grey with Phantom Black roof.
On the outside, the Venue N Line gets redesigned front and rear bumpers with silver skid plates and Athletic Red highlights, a Dark Chrome front grille and N Line emblems on the front radiator grille, side fenders and tailgate. On the sides, you get new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with red-painted front disc brake callipers. The Athletic Red highlights are also present in the roof rails and side fenders. The Venue N Line also gets a tailgate spoiler, shark fin antenna and a twin tip muffler.
On the inside, the black/red theme continues. It gets full leatherette seats with N branding, a new 3-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters (similar to the i20 N Line), Red ambient lighting, sporty metal pedals and more. It also gets all the updates as the 2022 Venue facelift.
In addition to this, it also gets a segment-first Dashcam with a Dual Camera. This offers customers to capture fun moments while on the move. Some of its features include – Dual Camera (Outside and Inside), a 5.84cm LCD Display, app-based wireless smartphone connectivity and Emergency Recording Option. It also comes with various capture modes such as Photo, Time-Lapse and Video.
Powering the 2022 Venue N Line is the same 1.0-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine as we see in the i20 N Line and a few other Hyundais. In the Venue N Line, it is only available with a 7-speed DCT transmission. The motor makes 120 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 172 Nm of torque between 1,500 to 4,000 rpm. To suit your driving mood, it also comes with Drive Mode Select, which offers three modes – Normal, Eco & Sport.
Though the output remains the same as the standard Venue Turbo, there are a host of changes under the skin. Firstly, Hyundai has added rear disc brakes to the Venue N Line. Thus, it now comes with all 4 disc brakes. Hyundai has also tuned the exhaust sound, steering and suspension for a sportier experience. Hyundai says the damping force is 34 per cent higher than the standard Venue.
