Hyundai has teased the new facelift model of the Creta SUV. The brand has also announced that the new facelift will make its debut at the upcoming GIIAS 2021 event at the Hyundai Motors Indonesia booth. The teaser of the new Creta reveals the front and sides of the upcoming Creta SUV. While Hyundai has explicitly revealed that the brand will be produced by the Hyundai factory in Indonesia and for the Indonesian people. But we expect the brand to launch the new model in the Indian market next year.
The Hyundai Creta facelift will not just be a nip and tuck job. The Creta will adopt Hyundai’s ‘Parametric Dynamics’ design philosophy. The brand will be completely overhauling the front end of the SUV which will resemble the 2021 Hyundai Tucson and Santa Cruz. Both the SUV and the Pick-Up come with ‘Parametric Jewel Design’ on the fascia.
The Creta will also follow a similar design philosophy. The brand will also offer ‘Parametric Hidden Lights’ on the new Creta. The lights stay hidden until lit and integrate with the front grille. The roofline, doors and wheel arches appear similar to the current Creta. But the tailgate appears to have been tweaked. The brand is also likely to make mild tweaks to the taillamp, however the light signature in the teaser appears similar to the current model.
Hyundai also likely to make sone tweaks on the inside. But the dashboard layout is likely to remain similar to the current model. The brand will also likely to add features such as ADAS which will soon become the benchmark in the segment. The Creta will continue to come with a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone charging, D-cut steering wheel, automatic climate control air-conditioning etc.
When the Creta facelift comes to the Indian streets it is likely to continue with the same engine line-up. Currently, the car comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine options. The brand will also offer multiple gearbox options on the Hyundai Creta facelift.
