After a lot of teasers and speculations, Honda took everyone by surprise by launching the all-new CB300F in India on 8th August 2022. The Japanese brand built this streetfighter motorcycle with the “Just Fit Fun Gear” concept in mind. Honda calls the CB300F the “Formidable Street Fighter”. The 2022 CB300F has its work cut out as it will compete against bikes like KTM 250 Duke, 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R.
Honda offers the 2022 CB300F in two variants – DLX & DLX Pro. Starting price for the 2022 CB300F is INR 2,25,000 ex-showroom for the DLX variant. Meanwhile, the DLX Pro variant comes with an ex-showroom price of INR 2,28,900. The 2022 Honda CB300F comes in a total of 3 colour options. These are – Mat Axis Grey Metallic, Sports Red and Mat Marvel Blue Metallic.
The new CB300F sports an aggressive profile and sharp styling, which are traits of a proper street fighter motorcycle. There are also a host of interesting design elements. Honda claims it has 10 new patent applications for the CB300F. Some of these design elements include a mesh-type side cover under the seat and an under cowl fairing.
Honda also says it has given it a tapered handlebar which offers better road feedback from the front of the bike. The 2022 CB300F also gets all-LED lighting, a fully-digital instrument cluster and Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS). Honda has also equipped it with a USB Type-C charging port to charge your smartphone.
The 2022 Honda CB300F uses a 293.52cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine is very different from Honda’s other 300cc offering, the CB300R. The CB300F makes 24 PS at 7,500 rpm and 25.6 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The CB300F also gets a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The Japanese brand also offers its Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) traction control system on the CB300F.
