2021 Yamaha NMax 125 scooter revealed, not for India

Yamaha has launched the 2021 NMax 125 in the Japanese market at the price of 368,500 MSRP. The one-eighth-litre maxiscooter will be available for buyers in Japan from 28th June 2021. The scooter is available in Pasten Dark Grey, Matte Dark Grey Metallic, White Metallic (Silver) and Matte Dark Purplish Blue colour options.

Design and Styling

The Yamaha NMax 125 comes with maxi-scooter styling with a sharp front fascia and a tall windscreen. The 2021 Yamaha NMax features double split headlamps with four LED lights on the main beams and two lights on the high beam. The twin-lens give the maxi-scooter a menacing effect to the front fascia. The front also features sharp side panels with turn indicators integrated into it.

The NMax 125 features a slim and compact body but spacious rider space. The NMax 125 also features a comfortable riders triangle achieved by the upright handlebar positioning, ergonomic seating and generous footboard. The maxi-scooter comes with a moderately high waist and a natural position to enhance unity with the rider. The brand also reveals that the NMax 125 features the boomerang-shaped panels of the MAX series.

Powertrain

Powering the 2021 Yamaha NMax 125 is a 124cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine. The four-valve SOHC fuel-injected motor with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology produces 12 PS of power and 11 Nm of torque. The Yamaha NMax 125 comes with a V-belt automatic gearbox and traction control system. The maxi-scooter comes with backbone chassis, telescopic front suspension and hydraulic disc brakes on both ends. The scooter also rides on 13-inch alloy wheels shod in 110/70 front and 130/70 rear tyre.

Features

The 2021 Yamaha NMax 125 comes with LED headlamps and LED combination taillamps. The scooter also gets LCD instruments console with Simple Communication Control Unit (SCCU) integration. The SCCU offers Bluetooth smartphone connectivity and provides the rider technical and running data and the last known location. The NMax 125 also comes with Smart Key keyless ignition, automatic start/stop, front glove box, power socket and ample under-seat storage.

The 2021 Yamaha NMax 125 is also available in the European market.
