Iconic British brand Triumph has revealed the all-new Triumph Trident 660, a new Roadster targeted towards the new generation riders who wish to enter the Triumph world. The design prototype of the Triumph Trident 600 was revealed at the London Design Museum and the final motorcycle is a result of four years of design and development programme. The Triumph Trident 660 will be available in four colour themes – Silver Ice and Diablo Red with Triumph logo badging on the tank, Matte Jet Black and Matte Silver Ice with Triumph graphics on the tank, Crystal White with Diablo Red lines and Jet Black decals, Sapphire Black with Diablo Red and Aluminium Silver decals.
The Triumph Trident 660 is powered by a 660cc three-cylinder water-cooled 12-valve DOHC motor that produces 81 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The Trident features a stainless steel 3 into 1 header system with low single sided stainless steel silencer. In terms of mechanical parts, the Triumph Trident 660 features a tubular steel perimeter frame that rides on 41mm upside down separate function forks (SFF) from Showa and a preload adjustable Showa monoshock rear suspension unit. The Branking duties are handled by twin 310mm floating discs with Nissin two-piston sliding calipers on the front and a single 255mm disc with Nissin single-piston sliding caliper on the rear equipped with a dual channel ABS.
The Triumph Trident 660 features a timeless design language combined with contemporary features and modern-day equipment. The Trident 660 comes with a new rounded 7’-inch full LED headlight incorporated with the Triumph badge, an LED tail-light with the Triumph badge integrated into it self-cancelling LED indicators along with scrolling indicators available as an accessory. The Trident 660 comes with a contemporary design fuel tank with 14-litre capacity, Triumph’s signature knee cut-outs, body coloured radiator cowls, body coloured fork protectors, tapered aluminium handlebars and teardrop shape mirrors.
The Triumph Trident 660 also features a colour TFT multi-functional instruments cluster with a ‘white-on-black’ LCD display integrated with My Triumph Connectivity System accessory module, phone & music control, GoPro Control, turn-by-turn navigation, etc. The Trident 660 also comes with 2 riding modes Road and Rain, ride-by-wire technology, adjustable traction control and ABS all of which come as standard. The Triumph Trident 660 boasts to come with the lowest service workshop time in the category with a class-leading 10,000miles/16,000km service interval along with a 2 year global unlimited mileage warranty.
The Trident 660 will be available in Triumph dealerships from late January 2021.
