Tata Motors has launched the new Tata Tiago XTA trim priced at INE 5.99 lakh ex-showroom. The Tiago XTA features an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) 5-speed unit that comes with the top-of-the-line XZA and XZA+ trims as well as the Limited Edition Tiago. This makes the hatchback the fourth AMT equipped Tiago in the variant line-up giving the customers various price points to choose from in the AMT-spec. The XTA being based on the XT trim also makes the AMT gearbox more accessible to customers.
Powering the Tiago XTA is a BS6 emission-compliant 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). The Tiago XTA continues with the same hardware earlier offered on the hatchback including the same suspension components. The Tiago XTA also measures the same at 3765mm in length, 1677mm in width and 1535mm in height and comes with a wheelbase of 2400mm. The hatchback comes with a healthy 170mm of ground clearance and 242-litre boot space.
The XTA variant comes with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with ConnectNext technology, 4-speaker Harman sound system, 6.35-inch Segmented DIS digital driver’s display, a dual-tone interior theme, premium piano black trim on the steering wheel and around the infotainment system, a lot of storage options, a large glovebox, bottle holders on the door pockets, tablet storage in the glove box, collapsible grab handles, front power outlet etc.
The Tata Tiago hatchback comes with three-point seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters, seat belt reminders for driver and front passenger, ABS and dual front airbags for safety as standard and the XTA variant comes with speed dependant auto door locks, day and night IRVM, stability control, follow me home lamps, over-speed alert, immobiliser, etc. The Tata Tiago has received a 4-star rating for safety at the Global NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme).
