Hayabusa, the flagship product from Suzuki, got sold out within a day after its launch in India. As per reports, the white colour of the Hayabusa is no longer available for booking. The Suzuki India’s website also confirms the same. Now the customers looking to buy the superbike can buy either the black or silver shade. The new Hayabusa also comes with major changes both mechanically and aesthetically, making it more appealing. Customers can book their motorcycle by paying a booking amount of INR 1 lakh at Suzuki dealerships across India.
This third-generation Hayabusa uses a 1,340cc in-line four-cylinder engine. Retaining the same engine architecture as the outgoing model, Suzuki has overhauled all the innards. This new engine makes an astounding 187 HP of power and 150 Nm of torque. The superbike also gets a new throttle body and a new fuel injection system, which helps in the power output. The pistons are also lighter than the predecessor, along with stiffer connecting rods. The Japanese motorcycle maker is using reworked intake and exhaust camshafts as well as new valve springs. Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 also makes use of a revised twin swirl combustion chamber. Riders will now feel the motorcycle to be smoother with reduced vibrations than the predecessor.
The updated 2021 Hayabusa includes the new Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.). By using this, the rider can select three riding modes, namely, Active, Basic and Comfort, from the handlebar switchgear. The superbike also consists of features like cruise control, active speed limiter, launch control system, anti-lift control system, hill hold control, ABS and more. The company also claims to improve the aerodynamics of the motorcycle. A new air diffuser used in the motorcycle helps in improving the wind flow, especially at high speeds. The front side and tail parts are completely revamped in terms of looks and dynamics.
The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa currently retails at an ex-showroom price of INR 16.40 lakhs.
