2021 Mini Countryman petrol launched in India at INR 39.5 lakh

Mini has launched the new 5-seater sports activity vehicle, the new 2021 Mini Countryman in the Indian market with prices starting at INR 39.50 lakh ex-showroom, India. The 2021 Mini Countryman comes with changes to its exteriors, more equipment on the interiors, new colour options and the latest-generation petrol powertrain as well as an all-in ‘Absolute Value’ offer that comprehensively enhances the ownership experience launched for the first time with the new Mini Countryman. The brand has also announced that the new Mini Countryman is available for order at all Mini Dealerships as well as through the brand’s online sales channel, MINI Online Shop.

Design & Styling

The 2021 Mini Countryman features the same timeless design language with new exterior changes such as a newly designed front and rear bumper, a new radiator grille, new LED headlamps, new LED taillamps that incorporate the Union Jack flag design, 17-inch Imprint Spoke Wheel in the Cooper S variant, 18-inch John Cooper Works Thrill Spoke Wheel in the Cooper S JCW Inspired variant shod in Run-Flat tyres, satin-finish aluminium rails with silver colour side tops, John Cooper Works Aerodynamic kit on the Mini Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired trim, asymmetrical headlamp contours and two new colour options – White Silver and Sage Green alongside the existing Midnight Black, Chilli Red, Island Blue and British Racing Green colour options.

Interior Features

On the inside, the 2021 Mini Countryman features a new trim – MINI Yours Interior Style Shaded Silver that is available with two upholstery options – Leather Chester Malt Brown or Leather Chester Satellite Grey on the JCW Inspired trim, Piano Back with Leatherette Carbon Black upholstery on the standard Cooper S, LED interior and ambient lighting as part of the MINI Excitement Pack, illuminated cockpit with the JCW Sports Leather Steering Wheel on the top-trim, Harman Kardon speaker system, Panoramic sunroof, MINI Navigation System with Touch Controller and Bluetooth mobile connectivity. The Cooper S JCW Inspired trim also comes with a new Multifunction fully Digital Display, 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the Cooper S and an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display on the JCW Inspired, LED ring light around the infotainment, controller on the middle console, wireless smartphone charging, electric seat adjustment with memory function, three full-sized seats on the rear row, a unique Picnic Bench that folds out of the luggage compartment, Automatic Tailgate with Comfort Access system (gesture control), etc.

Powertrain

Powering the Mini Countryman Cooper S and Cooper S JCW Inspired is a MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with twin-turbochargers that not only provide ample power output but also return a healthy fuel efficiency. The motor produces 192 hp of power at 5,000 – 6,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque at 1,350 – 4,600 rpm capable of propelling the car from 0-100 kmph in just 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 225 kmph. While the Cooper S comes with a new 7-Speed Double Clutch Steptronic Transmission the Cooper S JCW Inspired features a 7-Speed Double Clutch Steptronic Sport Transmission with paddles shifters. The engine also comes with automatic start/stop function, brake energy regeneration, active cooling air flaps and electromechanical steering as part of the MINIMALISM technology, as standard.

The 2021 Mini Countryman is available in two trim options – Mini Countryman Cooper S that comes with a price of INR 39.50 lakh ex-showroom, India and the Mini Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired with the price tag of INR 43.50 lakh ex-showroom, India.
