MG Motor India has launched the new Hector Plus in the 7-seater avatar starting at INR 13.34 lakhs ex-showroom, India. The new SUV features a bench type middle-row seats and two seats in the third-row for children. Earlier the MG Hector Plus was available only in the 6-seater avatar which came with captain seats in the middle-row. The brand will now sell the Hector Plus in both 6-seater & 7-seater versions.
The MG Hector line-up now has three choices – The MG Hector 2021 Facelift that has been launched today priced starting at INR 12.89 lakhs ex-showroom, India, alongside the updated MG Hector Plus 6-seater that is priced starting INR 15.99 lakhs ex-showroom and the Hector Plus 7-seater that starts at INR 13.34 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to INR 18.33 lakh ex-showroom, India.
The MG Hector Plus 7-seater also features updated interiors such as wireless smartphone charging, ventilated driver and passenger seats, auto-dimming IRVM etc. The Hector Plus 7-seater also comes with updates such as new design 18-inch alloy wheels in the dual-tone finish and a Panoramic Sunroof. The Hector Plus 7-seater is offered in Style, Super, Smart, and a new ‘Select’ trim level.
On the exterior, the 2021 MG Hector Plus 6-seater and 7-seater are similar in styling, both feature a chrome studded radiator grille, unique bonnet shutline integrated light signatures, bumper-mounted headlamps, scrolling turn indicators in integrated into the headlamp cluster,
The MG Hector Plus in both the 6-seater and 7-seater avatar uses the BS6 compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque paired to a DCT gearbox with only the petrol-hybrid option with a Belt Starter Generator mild-hybrid system matched to a 6-speed manual transmission. The SUV is also available in the Diesel avatar with a 2.0-litre Turbo-Diesel motor that produces 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The diesel powertrain is not offered with an automatic transmission.
