2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class revealed with more LUXE, space & features

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class which is based on the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class that was launched a couple of months ago. The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is not only substantially longer than the standard but also features much more equipment on the inside and special distinguishing factors on the outside, setting new benchmarks in the limousine class.

The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class can be ordered with a two-tone paint finish with dividing line applied by hand to achieve the highest quality. The luxury limo also features distinguishing features such as a chromed finned bonnet with a distinctive design, a Mercedes-Maybach radiator grille with vertically pinstriped chrome-finished grille, longer rear doors with the option of electrically operated comfort rear doors, and a fixed quarterlight on the C-pillar. The C-pillar also features the coveted Maybach badge underlining exclusivity. 

On the inside, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class comes with a new interior design of the new Mercedes‑Benz S-Class. The backrest of the front passenger seat can be tilted forward by 23-degree, beyond the 90-degree position particularly suitable for chauffeured driven requirements. The optional electronically operated comfort rear doors have been integrated into the infotainment system and its blindspot monitoring for additional convenience and safety. The rear doors can also be operated from the driver’s seat which is an important function, especially in a chauffeur-driven vehicle. The car features High‑quality wood surrounds on the rear of the front seat backrests and a similar trim is positioned between the two rear passengers, giving the impression of a generous lounge in the back.

The vehicle comes with active road noise compensation, automatic seat belt extender that extends the buckle when the rear passenger is seated and retracts automatically as soon as the vehicle starts moving, 263 LED ambient light system with adaptive rear lighting for reading other activities, second-generation learn-capable MBUX system, rear-axle steering, rear airbag, active suspension and Drive Pilot. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class also features DIGITAL LIGHT – each of the light modules consist of three extremely powerful LEDs that refracts light directed by 1.3 million micro-mirrors projecting a total resolution of 2.6 million pixels. 

The long-wheelbase model measures in at 5289mm in length and the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class adds 180mm of length making the car measure 5,469mm. The Mercedes-Maybach also features a 3,396mm long wheelbase. To put things into perspective, the Maruti Suzuki Alto measures 3,445mm in overall length which is only 5 cm longer than the wheelbase of the Maybach.
