Mercedes-Benz has launched the 2021 new E-Class facelift in the Long-Wheelbase with prices starting at INR 63.60 lakh ex-showroom. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB features new exteriors, new colours, materials and equipment on the inside and a range of petrol and diesel powertrains that conforms to the latest BS6 emission norms.
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long-Wheelbase is 22 mm longer than the standard E-Class saloon and the car now measures 5075mm in length. The wheelbase of the vehicle is 3079mm which is close to 140mm longer than the standard offering in Europe and 205mm longer than the predecessor in India offering more room inside the cabin. The facelift version comes with a new radiator grille with chrome studs on the mesh, a large Mercedes-Benz logo in the centre and a chrome wing element running across the grille. The facelift model also features new front and rear bumpers, MULTIBEAM LED headlamps, new split LED taillamps and a new boot lid design. The bonnet features prominent power bulges and on the side, the car features rounded wheel arches, 17-inch 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels as standard, 18-inch double-spoke AMG alloy wheels on the AMG Line, a chrome window line and trapezoidal exhaust outlets.
On the inside, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB facelift features a new-generation steering wheel with capacitive touch controls, driver assistance systems, a new centre console, the latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) multimedia system with twin 12.3-inch touchscreen display, the latest-generation NTG6 connectivity features such as Mercedes Me Connect, Google Home and Alexa integration, SOS function, MBUX Interior Assistant, Maybach inspired rear quarter glass, improvements to the rear seats which now come with a 37-degree recline, a new detachable Android-based tablet in the centre armrest, two wireless charging pads one each in the front and rear cabin, ambient lighting, soft close doors, and more. The cabin also features Artico leather and open-pore wood inside the cabin, Nappa leather seats, new colours such as the special beige-Tropez blue interior upholstery as well as new materials depending on the model.
Powering the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB is an M264 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 197 Hp of power and 320 Nm of torque on the E200, an OM654 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel that makes 194 Hp of power and 400 Nm of torque on the E220d and an OM656 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine that makes 286 Hp of power and 600 Nm of torque powering the E350d AMG Line. All the powertrains comply with the latest BS6 emission norms in India.
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be available in the Indian market in five variant options – E200 Petrol, E220d Diesel in the ‘Expression’ and Exclusive trim and the E350d Diesel in the AMG Line variant. The new E-Class is available in six exterior colour options – Designo Hyacinth Red (New), High-Tech Silver (New), Mojave Silver (New), Polar White Obsidian Black and Selenite Grey.
Mercedes-Benz is offering the E-Class with a best in class 3-Year standard warranty and best in segment residual value of over 4 years. The brand is also offering service packages starting from INR 67,800 for 2-Years and unlimited kilometres.
