The all-new Mahindra XUV500 is certainly the talk of the town this year. The next-generation SUV has been spotted several times testing in various parts of the country and the SUVs details have slowly unveiled through various spy shots. Recently, the 2021 XUV500 was seen testing near Mumbai, Now a detailed set of spy pictures have emerged on the internet that leads us to believe that the launch of the much-awaited SUV is getting closer.
The new set of images reveal that the Mahindra XUV500 features contoured seats with beige and black interiors and matching upholstery, a sporty flat bottomed steering wheel with controls, the twin-screen instruments display integrated with the touchscreen infotainment system, a multilayered dashboard, a chunky gear shifter, rotary control knobs for the climate control, rear air conditioning vents, a panoramic sunroof, a 60:40 split on the second row and a flat-folding 50:50 split third-row seats. The third-row passengers are also expected to be offered with air conditioning vents.
Though the vehicle is completely camouflaged the new spied test mule appears to be production-ready avatar as the LED headlamps, tail lamps, the flush-mounted door handles can be seen even through the heavy covers. The interiors of the test mule were camouflaged too and apart from the above-mentioned details not much can be deciphered and nothing more can be hypothesized further. The 2021 XUV500 is also speculated to come with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and electronic features that will even rival vehicle from the luxury SUV segment.
The new Mahindra XUV500 is expected to feature radar-based cruise control, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking etc. Latest reports also suggest that the 2021 Mahindra XUV500 is also expected to come with a pothole detection technology as well as a 3D panoramic vision to aid the driver when reversing. Furthermore, features such as eyelid tracking system that can detect the driver’s eyelid and pop up a message if the blink pattern is found to be irregular.
The 2021 Mahindra XUV500 will compete with the upcoming 7-seater Tata Gravitas SUV, MG Hector and Hector Plus, Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta apart from premium segment SUV such as the Jeep Compass.
