2021 Mahindra TUV300 compact-SUV facelift spotted road testing

Mahindra is upgrading the popular TUV300 compact SUV and now new spy images of the SUV have surfaced the internet. The test mule of the TUV300 is expected to come with a refreshed front fascia and a new BS6 emission-compliant engine. As of now, no spy shots of the interiors have emerged on the internet and it is speculated that the interiors of the TUV300 are likely to be retained from the outgoing model and only minor changes are expected. 

In terms of its exterior design, the TUV300 will be updated with a new grille design with prominent vertical slats, a refreshed front bumper with redesigned trapezoidal lower air intakes, redesigned fog lamp housings but the headlamps and the taillamps appear similar to the outgoing model so does the spare wheel mounted tailgate and alloy wheels. The overall boxy silhouette of the SUV also remains unchanged. 

The predecessor was offered with 6 monotone and 2 dual-tone paint options – Bold Black, Mystic Copper, Majestic Silver, Highway Red, Pearl White, Glacier White, Red & Black and Silver & Black. The TUV 300 is 3995 mm in length 1795 mm in width and 1817 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2680 mm and has carrying capacity of 5+2 passengers, the boot space capacity is 384 litres expandable to up to 720 litres and has a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres. In its BS4 avatar, the TUV300 is powered by a 1.5-litre mHAWK100 diesel engine with a 2-stage turbocharger producing 100 BHP of power and 240 Nm of torque @ 1600-2800 mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. 

The outgoing TUV300 features highlights such as LED daytime running lamps with carbon black inserts, ‘Static Bending’ cornering lamp, clear lens tail lamps with X-shaped metallic grey spare-wheel cover, dual-tone interiors designed by Pininfarina that features 17.8 cm infotainment system comes integrated with GPS technology and reverse parking camera. 

The new TUV300 is expected to be launched around this festive season.
