Mahindra has launched the new Bolero Neo at the starting price of INR 8.48 lakh ex-showroom, India. The new Mahindra Bolero Neo will be available for sale at Mahindra dealerships starting today. The new Bolero Neo comes with tough exterior elements that retain the Bolero badge also the best-in-class capabilities. The Bolero Neo also comes with premium interiors designed by Italian design house Pininfarina.
Mahindra offers the Bolero Neo with four variant options. The base variant is the N4 which comes with a price tag of INR 8,48,000 ex-showroom, Mumbai. The mid-level variant is the N8 which comes with a price tag of INR 9,47,999 ex-showroom, Mumbai. The top-spec N10 comes in two trim options – N10 and N10 (O). The N10 comes with a price tag of INR 9,99,899 ex-showroom, Mumbai. But as of now, the brand has not revealed the price of the N10 (O). The N10 (O) comes with all the features of the N10, but in addition to this, it gets Multi-Terrain Technology.
On the outside, the Mahindra Bolero Neo comes with five colour options. The Bolero Neo comes with Rocky Beige, Highway Red, Majestic Silver, Napoli Black and Pearl White colour options. The brand will also add two more colour options to the Bolero Neo. These colours will be Royal Gold and Diamond White. On the inside, the Mahindra Bolero Neo comes with a combination of Beige and Black along with silver accent trim.
Powering the Mahindra Bolero Neo will be an mHawk 100 BS6-compliant 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbodiesel engine. The oil motor develops 100 Bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque. The engine comes with only a 5-speed manual gearbox, and there is no automatic transmission on offer. The transmission sends the power to the rear wheels of the Bolero Neo. There is no 4-wheel drivetrain on offer.
But subsequently, Mahindra will launch the Bolero Neo N10 (O) variant, which will come with Multi-Terrain Technology (MTT). MTT is a (Mechanically Locking Differential) similar to the Mahindra Thar. MTT can detect the freewheel speed of 100 rpm and automatically locks the rear differential sending almost all the torque to the wheel on the ground. This will help the Bolero Neo crawl out of sticky situations with ease, even without a four-wheel drive.
The Mahindra Bolero Neo comes with LED daytime running lights, multi-faceted reflector halogen headlamps, static bending lamps (cornering lamp function), fog lights and combination taillamps. The SUV comes with X-shaped bumpers and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The Bolero Neo also comes with a black finish step board to ease the ingress and egress of passengers. The Bolero Neo also comes with black cladding and black door handles, staying true to its SUV traits.
The Mahindra Bolero Neo comes with 7-seats in the 2+3+2 configurations with two jump seats in the third-row. The SUV features contemporary interiors designed by Pininfarina and comes with premium fabric seat upholstery depending on the model. The Bolero Neo comes with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluesense technology, cruise control system, driver information system, voice messaging, Eco Mode, Micro Hybrid technology with ESS (Electronic Start-Stop), Intellipark reverse assist, electrically adjustable ORVM, armrests, tiltable steering, height-adjustable driver seats, power windows, rear wash wipe, remote lock and keyless entry etc.
The Mahindra Bolero Neo is built on the third generation chassis shared with Scorpio and Thar, renowned for their toughness. In addition to this, the SUV also comes with High strength steel body shell, Dual airbags for driver and co-driver, ABS with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), cornering brake control, automatic door locks, high-speed alert warnings, ISOFIX child seat and a lot more.
