2021 Kia Sonet SUV updated & launched at INR 6.79 lakh

Kia has updated the Sonet compact SUV in the Indian market, launched at INR 6.79 lakh ex-showroom. The refreshed version comes with the new stylised KIA logo and new features on the interiors. The new Sonet also gets additional features to the interiors. The brand also has extended features available from the higher-spec variants to lower trims. The automatic version of the Kia Sonet is now also available in both the HTX 7DCT (1.0-litre Turbo-Petrol) and HTX 6AT (1.5-litre Diesel).

New Kia Sonet Updates

The 2021 Kia Sonet comes with new features such as steering mounted Paddle Shifters, retractable rear window curtains and Voice command for Sunroof Open & Close. The brand has also upgraded lower variants with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Assist Control (HAC) to lower variants. Lower variants also feature Multidrive and traction mode, Smart key with push-button start, remote engine start, electric sunroof, chrome door handles and ‘Crystal-Cut’ alloy wheels.  With this, the Kia Sonet now has more than 10 new enhancements for 2021.

Feature Extensions to Lower Variants

The Crystal cut alloys with silver wheel caps were earlier available on the HTX+/GTX+ trims, which are now available on the HTX/HTX+/GTX+ variants. The Multi-Drive modes & Traction modes earlier available on HTK+ 7DCT/GTX+ 7DCT/GTX+ AT have been extended to HTX 7DCT/GTX+ 7DCT/HTX AT/ GTX+ AT. The HTK+ (1.0T & D1.5) now features Smart Key with push-button start, which was only available in the HTX/HTX+/GTX+. The HTK+ (1.0T & D1.5) also gets remote engine start. The HTK+ (1.0T & D1.5) now also gets chrome door handles available on HTX/HTX+/GTX+. The HTK+ (1.0T iMT) has been upgraded with an electric sunroof which was earlier available only on the HTX/HTX+/GTX+ trims.

Kia Sonet Bookings

The brand has announced that the 2021 refreshed Sonet will be available across 17 variants. The new Sonet is available for booking in India at any of Kia’s 300+ touchpoints across the country or Kia’s online sales channel.
