2021 Kia Carnival MPV Interiors Revealed – All New

Kia has released yet another image of the 2021 Kia Carnival that was seen in the official design renderings and now the brand has shared a single picture of the fourth-generation model’s interiors letting us have a glimpse of what lies in the future of the ‘Grand Utility Vehicle’ planned to be introduced for sale in the third quarter of 2020 in the South Korean market. 

The brand has also revealed details on the equipment that will be offered on this next-generation model the interiors of which is built on the design concept of ‘Spatial Talents’. The fourth-generation Carnival, like its predecessor, boasts to offer significant levels of space for passengers in all rows as well as a comfortable and futuristic environment for young families. 

The all-new Kia Carnival comes with an all-new wraparound dashboard with a high fascia dual-tone theme and a seamless horizontal line that span across the dashboard centre connecting the air-conditioning vents. The new Carnival gets contoured seats with textured upholstery, wide centre armrests with twin cupholders, a shift-by-wire rotary dial on the central tunnel, touch-sensitive air-con controls.

But the pièce de résistance is a driver-centric panoramic dashboard display, a 12.3-inch digital driver instrument cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment and navigation system, two digital displays all under one piece of glass with touch-sensitive buttons underneath that provide access to various quick functions for the touchscreen infotainment system. 

The Kia Carnival also offers three- or four-row seating configurations, with space for 7, 9 or 11 occupants in total and is much-popular in the 7-seater avatar with captain seats for the second-row occupants. The MPV also offers practical storage options and USB chargers for rear row occupants along with storage nets for the smartphone to be parked when charging.  

The brand has also shared details of the new-generation Carnival’s exteriors draws its design inspiration from Kia’s futuristic SUVs and is built on the ‘Symphonic Architecture’ concept that according to Kia designers create a sense of harmony and structural energy when the detailed design is brought together with its technical features. The overall length of the new Carnival grows by 40 mm to 5,155 mm, with a 30 mm longer rear overhang up to 1,130 mm, that now enables more space to the rear occupants as well as luggage space.
