Kawasaki heavily updated the 2020 line-up of the 650-twin motorcycles with a new body design and Euro5/BS6 engine compliance. The brand also added new colours to the new portfolio and now for the 2021 Model Year Kawasaki has further expanded the colour themes in the international market. The new colour schemes are also expected to be launched in the Indian market when the full 2021 line-up arrives in India.
Starting with the naked roadster, the Kawasaki Z650, the Japanese manufacturer has brought new themes such as the Pearl Blizzard White / Metallic Spark Black colour and the Metallic Spark Black / Metallic Flat Spark Black which will be sold alongside the Metallic Spark Black which now comes with Green alloy wheel for 2021. In 2020 the Metallic Spark Black came with Green accents on the body and frame but Black alloy wheels with Green rim stripes.
The MY 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 650 now comes with a new Metallic Spark Black / Pearl Blizzard White and new Metallic Spark Black colour option which will be sold alongside the Lime Green / Ebony / Pearl Blizzard White and Pearl Flat Stardust White. But in the European market, the 2021 model does not come with Pearl Stardust White option which is available in the Indian market on the 2021 model.
The 2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 receives which was recently launched in India in a single Candy Lime Green has been updated with new Pearl Blizzard White / Metallic Spark Black, a black and white combination with Blue accents on the fairing and a new Metallic Moondust Grey / Metallic Spark Black with a combination of Black and Grey colours with Red accents on the fairing highlighting the Versys branding in Red.
Mechanically, the 2021 model retains its cycle parts respectively but come with Euro5-spec powertrain. The 2021 Kawasaki Z 650 and the Ninja 650 are powered by a 649cc parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled 4-stroke, 8-valve DOHC dual throttle valve fuel-injected engine that produces 68 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed return-type transmission. While the Versys 650 is also powered by the same engine it comes in a different state of tune and makes 66 PS of power and 61 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed transmission.
