2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 adventure tourer gets more updates

Kawasaki has launched the Versys 1000 S in the European market priced at EUR 14,227. The Versys 1000 S is available in the Standard, Tourer, Tourer Plus and Grand Tourer trims. The Versys 1000 S in the Tourer variant comes with a tank pad and Clean-Mount Pannier System with Quick Release feature and 56-litres (2 x 28) of space. The Tourer Plus gets LED Fog Lamps shaped to fit under the top cowl and around the radiator shrouds, on top of the equipment offered on the Tourer trim. The top-spec Grand Tourer features a GPS mounting bracket, resin frame sliders to protect the chassis and 47 litre volume the top case with water resistant inner bag.

Powering the Kawasaki Versys 1000 S is a 1043cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder 4-stroke, 4-valve per cylinder DOHC fuel-injected engine producing around 120 PS of power and 102 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed return type transmission with a wet multi-plate assist & slipper clutch. The Versys 1000 S features an aluminium twin-tube chassis that rides on 43 mm upside-down front forks with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability. The rear suspension features a horizontal back-link, gas-charged monoshock with rebound damping and remote spring preload adjustability.

But the Versys 1000 S misses out on features such as the KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension) incorporated with Showa’s Skyhook EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) technology. The new suspension which comes on the recently introduced Versys 1000 SE LT+ continuously adapts to the road surface in real-time and reduces pitching under braking especially when riding with a pillion.

The 2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 S features twin LED headlamps, LED cornering lights, Integrated Riding Modes, Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS), Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Braking System, Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, multi-function TFT colour LCD screen, Smartphone Connectivity via Rideology App, Electronic Cruise Control, adjustable windscreen, DC power charging source and heated grips.

The 2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 S is offered in two colour options – Pearl Storm Gray / Metallic Diablo Black / Metallic Flat Spark Black and Emerald Blazed Green / Metallic Diablo Black / Metallic Flat Spark Black.
