2021 Jeep Wrangler launched at INR 53.9 lakh, cheaper by almost INR 11 lakh

Last month American car manufacturer Jeep announced that the Jeep Wrangler SUV will be locally made in the Indian market and the company has commenced its production at the Ranjangaon manufacturing facility in Maharashtra India. Jeep India has now launched the 2021 new Wrangler at the price of INR 53.90 lakh ex-showroom, India. The bookings for the locally made Jeep Wrangler is already open and the SUV is available at all Jeep dealerships across the country.

Variants & Price

The 2021 Jeep Wrangler is available in two variants – Unlimited and Rubicon. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited comes at the price of at INR 53.90 lakh ex-showroom and the Wrangler Rubicon comes at the price of INR 57.90 lakh ex-showroom. To put things into perspective the fully imported MY2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited came with a price tag of INR 63.94 lakh ex-showroom and the Wrangler Rubicon came with a sticker price of 68.94 lakh ex-showroom.

Powertrain

Powering the 2021 Jeep Wrangler is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol motor that makes 270 Hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. The engine features an 8-speed automatic transmission with a Selec-Trac Full-Time four-wheel-drive with a 2.72:1 low ratio transfer case on the Unlimited model and Rock-Trac Full-Time four-wheel drive with Tru-loc electronic locking differentials for both the front and rear axles, 4:1 low range 2-speed transfer case, a full-time torque management system and electronically operated sway bar disconnect on the Rubicon trim.

Dimensions

The Jeep Wrangler measures 4882 mm in length, 1894 mm in width, 1838 mm (unlimited), 1848 mm (Rubicon), a wheelbase of 3008 mm, 214 mm of ground clearance (Unlimited) and 217 mm (Rubicon). The Jeep Wrangler comes with 36 degrees of approach angle, 31 degrees of departure angle, 20 degrees break-over angle on the Unlimited and 21 degrees break-over angle on the Rubicon. The Wrangler Unlimited comes with 18-inch aluminium alloy wheels and the Rubicon features 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels.

The Jeep Wrangler comes with features such as LED DRL, Automatic LED Headlamps, LED taillamps, front LED fog lamps, Fold-flat front windshield, Full-framed removable doors, MOPAR All-weather floor mats, 8.4-inch UConnect touchscreen infotainment system with navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, steering wheel mounted audio controls with integrated voice command, 7-inch Driver Information Display, dual-zone climate control, etc.
