Isuzu has launched the 2021 BS6 compliant MU-X SUV in the Indian market, starting at INR 33.23 lakh ex-showroom. The 2021 Isuzu MU-X is available in two variants, a 4×2 and 4×4 variant. The top-spec 4×4 variant comes with a price tag of INR 35.19 lakh ex-showroom.
The Isuzu MU-X is a 7-seater SUV that features a tiger-inspired muscular exterior. The bold and butch SUV comes with an imposing radiator grille with a chrome finish. The lower number features a rugged design and comes with rounded foglights along with chrome inserts. The wheel arches are muscular and give the SUV a wide stance. The MU-X also features a large glasshouse with a black-out B-pillar, chrome ORVM housings and chrome door handles. The MU-X also comes with upswept headlights with 3D inserts and projector headlamps. On the rear, the MU-X gets wraparound taillamps and a wraparound rear windscreen.
The Isuzu MU-X comes with a multi-layered dashboard with a newly designed 3D instrument cluster. The MU-X comes with features such as a twin cockpit design, making it easy for both driver and front passenger to reach the controls. The SUV gets a central infotainment system with an 8-speaker live surround sound system. The MU-X also comes with Passive Entry and Start-Stop System.
The Isuzu MU-X features 6 – way power-adjustable driver seat, soft leather seats, adjustable headrests for all seats, a comfortable third row with one-touch split/fold seats in both the second and third row. This allows easy ingress and egress for both kids and grandparents, claims the company. The MU-X also comes with a Penta-Link rear suspension for comfort in all rows.
Powering the Isuzu MU-X is a BS6-compliant 1.9-litre Ddi Diesel engine producing 163 PS of power and 360Nm of torque. The engine comes with a new 6-speed sequential shift Automatic Transmission. The Isuzu MU-X comes with both 4×2 and 4×4 driveline with Shift-On-Fly off-road select dial on the 4×4 variant.
