2021 Hyundai i20 will get 1.0L 120 PS turbo-petrol engine in N Line trim

Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled the N Line trim on the all-new i20, offering customers a wider range of choice on the hot hatchback. The new Hyundai i20 N Line comes with enhanced interior and exterior features that draw their design elements inspired by the brand’s high-performance N range. Earlier this year, Hyundai introduced the all-new i20 in the new-generation design and the N Line trim further enhances its dynamic design language. 

On the exterior, the Hyundai i20 N Line features Hyundai’s “Sensous Sportiness” design language with performance-oriented design cues such as an N Line specific front bumper accented by a grey a character line with angular dark inserts on the flanks that incorporate the fog lamps, a black cascading grille with an N Line badging and a chequered flag grille pattern emphasising its track inspired look. The N Line features blacked-out pillars with strong character lines on the sides, wraparound tail lamp section with Z-shaped optics and a lightbar that connectes the two units. The rear also features a N Line specific bumper with low slung reflectors, motorsport inspired central stop lamp, aero ducts and rounded dual tipped exhausts. The alloy wheels are also N Line specific and come in 17-inch size with a black and machine cut theme with aero optimisation. 

The Hyundai i20 N Line features the brand’s latest-generation Bluelink technology including a wide range of Connected Car services such as Hyundai Live Services which is also available on the base model of the i20. It also offers remote features via the smartphone app. The sporty iteration also comes with N-branded sporty seats with N logo and exclusive red stitching the i20 N Line also comes with an N Steering wheel, metal pedals and N gear shift knob with Red inserts. The 2021 Hyundai i20 also comes with Hyundai SmartSense safety features that complies with the highest European standards.

The Hyundai i20 N Line will be powered by a standard 1.2-litre MPI engine with 84 PS, a 1.0-litre TGDi (turbo-petrol) engine that produces 100 PS and a 120 PS output option as well. The all-new i20 N Line will also be offered with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system to improve fuel efficiency offered as standard on the 120PS 1.0-litre TGDi option and as optional on the 100 Ps iteration. The powertrain is also expected to come with a intelligent Manual Transmission. 

The all-new Hyundai i20 N Line will also come with four exterior colours options – Phantom Black, Aurora Grey, Polar White and Brass.  In the Polar White i20 N Line, an optional two-tone Phantom Black roof is available allowing higher level of personalisation.
