Hyundai recently launched the new i20 N Line in the Indian market at a price starting at INR 9.84 lakh ex-showroom. The Hyundai i20 N Line is a sportier version of the standard i20 and comes with changes in the cosmetic department as well as a few mechanical upgrades. But under the hood, the turbo-petrol power unit remains the same. Recently we got a chance to drive the new Hyundai i20 N Line and experience its features. In this video review, we reveal all the details of the Hyundai i20 N Line so you can make an informed buying decision.

Variants and Price

Hyundai is offering the i20 N Line in two variants – N6 and N8. The N6 trim comes only with the iMT (intelligent Manual Transmission) gearbox option. But the top of the line N8 comes with both iMT as well as DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) gearbox options. The N6 trim comes with a price tag of INR 9.84 lakh ex-showroom. The N8 iMT comes with a sticker price of INR 10.87 lakh ex-showroom. And the N8 DCT comes with a sticker price of INR 11.75 lakh ex-showroom.

Powertrain

Powering the Hyundai i20 N Line is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The motor produces 120 PS of power and 172 Nm of torque. Hyundai has not made any changes to the already powerful motor. Hyundai offers a 6-speed iMT transmission, a clutch-pedal-less manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT automatic with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Mechanical Changes

In the mechanical department, Hyundai has tweaked the steering torque to offer more centre weight and feedback. Hyundai has also changed the dampening characteristics of the suspension, which offer a stiffer ride. This allows the i20 N Line to dive into corners with ease. Apart from this, the i20 N Line also comes with all four disc brakes, which improve the braking distance compared to the standard model. The brand has also employed an N Line specific steering wheel and a growly N Line twin-tipped exhaust muffler. The i20 N Line also comes with N branded 16-inch diamond-cut allow wheels.

N Line Features

Like all Hyundai cars, the i20 N Line is also feature-rich and offers N Line specific features. These include chequered flag design radiator grille with N Line logo, sportier front and rear bumpers, as well as side skirts. The new bodywork also comes with athletic red accents that help distinguish the N Line from the standard. The car also features a new spoiler, diffuser and N Line logos.

On the inside, the i20 N Line comes with an N Line specific leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob with N branding. The car also comes with a dark interiors theme. The i20 N Line features chequered flag theme on the seat upholstery, athletic red accents on the dashboard and sporty pedals.
