Hyundai Motor Compay has revealed the new Hyundai Elantra N Line in the South Korean market. The new N Line model is the sportier iteration of the 2021 Hyundai Elantra that was launched in April. The new Hyundai Elantra N Line features N Line specific design and performance-oriented elements that enhance the car both aesthetically and mechanically. The 2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line will go on sale in Korea during the third quarter of 2020, followed by the sales in the international market.
The 2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine that produces 201 Hp of power and 264 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed Double Clutch Transmission (DCT).
In its standard form, the 2021 Elantra is powered by a 1.6-litre TGDi engine with mild-hybrid technology that produces a combined output of 139 Hp of power and 264 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and optionally a 2.0-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine.
Hyundai has also tweaked the suspension bits on the N Line version and various mechanical improvements have been implemented along with a multi-link independent rear suspension that increases stiffness for a better gripping performance aided by 18-inch alloy wheels and larger front brake rotors for the added stopping power.
The Elantra N Line also features driver-focused features such as a Drive Mode Selector system, paddle shifters, leather-wrapped perforated N steering wheel with metallic spokes, gearshift with metal accents and leather inserts, alloy pedals and N sport seats with leather bolsters.
Just like the standard version, the 2021 Elantra N Line also features the latest ‘Parametric Dynamics’ design theme and comes with sharp cuts and crease lines. The N Line comes with an intricate geometric pattern on the grille with an N Line badging, arrow-shaped air curtains that not only help in aerodynamic performance but also engine cooling, sporty side skirts, arrow-like creases in its body panels, gloss black moulding on the wheel wells, integrated spoiler, chrome twin exhaust and N Line rear diffuser that give the 2021 Hyundai Elantra performance-inspired styling.
While the ‘N’ models bring full performance capability, it is important to note that the ‘N Line’ models add performance-inspired elements to base model vehicles, equivalent to what M Sport package and AMG Line is for the German carmakers, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, and the ‘N Line’ models are not as extreme as the full-fledged ‘N’ models.
