2021 Hyundai Creta to gain and lose features

Hyundai is shuffling the feature list on the Hyundai Creta SUV. According to leaked documents, Hyundai will be adding a few features to the SUV while deleting some. The majority of enhancements will be made to the top-end SX and SX(O) trim. The mid-spec EX and S variants will get minor additions in terms of feature enhancements. And the entry-level E variant will see the deletion of a few features and equipment.

The feature deletion in the entry-level variant is likely to retain the SUV prices and stay competitive in the market. However, confirmation on any price hike is still scarce. The Hyundai Creta received a price hike last month, and the deletion of features could be a way of cost-cutting and avoiding a further price hike.

Hyundai Creta Base Variant Features

Hyundai will be replacing the electrically adjustable ORVMs with manual ones. A turn indicator on the front fender replaces the turn indicators on the ORVM. The brand will also delete the passenger seatback pocket and luggage lamp in the boot. In its E trim, Hyundai offers features such as projector headlamps, body-coloured bumpers, dual-tone radiator grille and black-out B-pillar. The SUV also features a 3.5-inch mono TFT cluster, semi cloth seat fabric and a blanking cover in place of the infotainment. Even in the base trim, the Creta gets a plethora of safety features, including dual airbags, ABS and EBD, parking sensors, seatbelt reminders and pre-tensioners, etc.

Hyundai Creta Mid Variant Feature Additions

The EX and S variants get feature enhancements such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Currently, the brand offers wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The E and SX trims will also get electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn indicator lamps, luggage lamps and seatback pocket on the passenger side.

Hyundai Creta Top Model Features

The SX and SX(O) variants now get a new Nano Paint application on the dashboard fascia, and remote engine start with SmartKey. The infotainment system is also upgraded and is capable of receiving over-the-air (OTA) updates. The infotainment is also upgraded with new VR commands. The system also features embedded Welcome Greeting matching the time of the day and also reminds the driver to wear the seatbelt and drive safely.
