Honda recently launched the new Amaze facelift sedan in the Indian market. The Honda Amaze facelift comes with a starting price tag of INR 6.32 lakh ex-showroom. Honda offers three variant grades on the Amaze facelift and two out of the three benefits from the facelift features. The entry-level model is still sold unchanged. The Honda Amaze facelift comes with new features such as projector headlamps, new LED combination taillamps, and a new grille design. The mid-spec trim comes with Halogen Headlamps with LED DRLs. On the other hand, the top-spec trim comes with automatic headlamps with LED projectors and LED DRLs. The car also gets chrome door handles and dual-tone 15-inch multispoke alloy wheels. On the inside, the latest generation 17.7-cm advanced infotainment system. The vehicle also features a one-push start/stop, cruise control, rear multi-view camera with guidelines etc. However, the Amaze remains mechanically unchanged.
Powering the Honda Amaze is a 1.2-litre petrol engine and an optional 1.5-litre diesel engine option. The Honda Amaze produces 90 PS of power paired to a manual and CVT gearbox in the petrol avatar. The petrol Amaze returns a fuel efficiency of 18.6 kmpl in the manual transmission and 18.3 kmpl on the CVT automatic. The diesel engine option produces 100 PS with the manual transmission and 80 PS on the CVT automatic. The oil motor delivers 24.7 kmpl on the manual transmission and 21 kmpl on the CVT automatic.
The Honda Amaze comes with three variant options – E, S and VX. The E variant starts at INR 6.32 lakh ex-showroom and comes in the petrol manual option. The S variant is priced INR 7.16 lakh for the 1.2-litre petrol MT and INR 8.06 lakh for the petrol CVT. The S variant with a diesel engine comes with a price tag of INR 9.26 lakh ex-showroom. In the VX trim, the 1.2-litre petrol MT comes with a price tag of 8.22 lakh ex-showroom. The petrol CVT option in the VX trim comes with INR 9.05 lakh ex-showroom. The 1.5-litre diesel MT comes with a price tag of INR 10.25 lakh and INR 11.15 lakh ex-showroom for the diesel CVT option.
