Honda has launched the new Amaze in the 2022 facelift avatar in the Indian market. The brand has announced that the Amaze will come with a starting price of INR 6.32 lakh ex-showroom. The Honda Amaze will be produced at the brand’s state-of-the-art factory in Tapukara, Rajasthan. Honda has also commenced accepting bookings on the new Amaze from Honda Dealerships with an amount of INR 21,000. The sedan can also be booked from the safety of home using the ‘Honda From Home’ online sales channel at the amount of INR 5,000.
The Honda Amaze will come with three primary grades – E, S, and VX. The brand will be offering the Amaze facelift with both petrol and diesel engine options. The sedan also comes with manual and automatic gearbox options. The Honda Amaze E variant, which is the existing entry Grade E, starts at INR 6.32 lakh ex-showroom for the 1.2-litre petrol manual option. The Amaze E 1.5-litre diesel MT comes at a price of INR 8.66 lakh ex-showroom.
The New Amaze S comes with INR 7.16 lakh for the 1.2-litre petrol MT and INR 8.06 lakh for the petrol CVT. The 1.5-litre diesel MT option comes with a price tag of INR 9.26 lakh. The range-topping VX grade comes with 1.2-litre petrol MT with a price tag of 8.22 lakh and petrol CVT at INR 9.05 lakh. The 1.5-litre diesel MT comes with a price tag of INR 10.25 lakh, and the diesel CVT comes with a price tag of INR 11.15 lakh.
The brand has revealed that the entry-level E grade will be the existing Amaze Grade E. This means the Amaze E grade trim will not come with the new facelift features such as Sleek Solid Wing Face, C-Shaped LED, Shark Fin etc. The E grade features body-coloured front and rear bumpers, sidestep garnish, ivory interior door handles and integrated front seat headrests. The E grade Amaze also comes with safety features such as an Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure. Dual Front SRS airbags, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchorage System, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensor, driver and passenger seatbelt reminder, Diesel Particulate Filter Indicator, etc.
The mid-spec S grade comes with Halogen Headlamps with LED position lamps and new LED combination taillamps with dual light signatures. The variant also has integrated turn indicators on the door mirrors and a sleek solid wing face chrome grille. The S grade also features body-coloured door handles and chrome interior door handles. The dashboard features silver ornamentation and adjustable front headrests. The car also has an integrated Bluetooth audio system, steering mounted controls, power-adjustable ORVMs, tilt steering, trunk lighting, etc.
The top of the line VX grade features automatic headlamps with LED projectors and LED DRLs. The car also gets LED front fog lamps. The brand also offers chrome outer door handles and 15-inch multispoke alloy wheels. On the inside, the vehicle features a 17.7-cm advanced infotainment system with a capacitive touchscreen and a seamless smartphone with Android Auto, Apple Carplay, and Weblink integration. The car also features a one-push start/stop, cruise control, rear multi-view camera with guidelines, rear windshield defogger, driver-side one-touch up/down window with pinch guard, etc.
The Honda Amaze facelift comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 90 PS of power. The engine comes with both manual and CVT gearbox options. In the manual transmission option, the car claim to return a fuel efficiency of 18.6 kmpl. In the CVT automatic, the mileage claim is 18.3 kmpl. For diesel aficionados, Honda also retails the Amaze with a 1.5-litre diesel engine option. The oil motor produces 100 PS with the manual transmission and 80 PS on the CVT automatic. The diesel engine claims a fuel efficiency of 24.7 kmpl on the manual transmission and 21 kmpl on the CVT automatic.
