2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports launched in India at INR 15.96 lakh

Honda motorcycles and scooters India LTD has launched the 2021 Model Year Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports in the Indian market priced at INR 15.96 lakh ex-showroom. Big Red has also announced that the bookings for the Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports have now commenced and customers can book the ADV class motorcycle from Honda BigWing Topline stores across the country. 

Inheriting the off-road enduro genes the 2021 Africa Twin features classic Adventure Tourer design and comes with an upright front fascia, slender enduro body style, twin-split LED headlamps, a tall windscreen that offers ample weather protection to the rider, cornering lamps that help explore uncharted terrain even in the dark hours, boomerang-shaped side panels, long-travel suspension, scooped rider’s seat, wide handlebars with knuckle protection, sleek tail section, luggage mounting points, a heavy-duty engine sump guard, cross-spoke rims with dual-purpose tubeless tyres and an upswept exhaust. 

The 2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports is powered by a BS6/Euro5 compliant 1084cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine that produces 98.2 Hp of power and 103.3 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual or a DCT automatic gearbox. The 2021 model also features a Lithium-Ion battery that is not only lighter in weight but also offers 1.6 times longer shelf life and 4 times longer durability when compared to a conventional battery. 

In terms of the electronics package, the Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports is equipped with a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Throttle by Wire (TBW), 7 level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Wheelie Control, Cornering ABS with off-road mode, Rear Lift Control and Cornering Detection feature in the DCT variant that recognizes that the motorcycle is in a corner and engages the proper gear ratio. 

The Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports is also offered with 6.5-inch TFT touch screen display with Bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay integration, heated grips, cruise control, 5-stage adjustable windscreen, adjustable seats ACC charging sockets to charge electronic devices and a large 24.5-litre fuel tank capacity that allows a longer range and less fuel anxiety while exploring uncharted territory. 

The 2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports is offered in two colour options Darkness Black Metallic for the Manual Transmission option and Pearl Glare White Tricolor on the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) variant.
