Hero MotoCorp has upgraded the brand’s flagship Xpulse 200 motorcycle. The brand is introducing the new “Xpulse 200 4V” with a new engine. But the updates are not limited to the engine. The brand also extends the changes to the thermodynamic system and transmission. The brand is also offering upgrades to the headlamps along with three new colour options.
Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Xpulse 200 4V at the price of INR 128,150 ex-showroom, Delhi. The outgoing model was priced at INR 123,150 ex-showroom, Delhi. This makes the new Xpulse 200 4V just INR 5,000 dearer than the predecessor. The brand offers the adventure motorcycle with three new colour options – Trail Blue, Blitz Blue, and Red Raid.
Powering the new Hero Xpulse 200 4V is a new 200cc single-cylinder oil-cooled 4 Valve engine. The brand claims that the new four-valve engine comes with 6% more power and 5% additional torque. The new motor produces 19.1 PS of power @ at 8500 RPM and 17.35 Nm of torque @ 6500rpm. To put things into perspective, the outgoing engine produces 18 PS of power and 16.45 Nm of torque.
The brand also offers an upgraded seven fin oil cooler that improves the thermodynamic efficiency of the engine. The brand also claims to have refined the 5-speed transmission system on the adventure motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp boasts that the Xpulse 200 4V comes with better strength and durability as well as optimised the gear ratio for improved tractive effort and acceleration. The new Xpulse 200 4V will also offer a relaxed and stress-free ride at high speeds, which the predecessor lacked.
The Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 4V comes with an improved LED headlamp for better visibility at night and homogeneous road illumination. The brand also offers a full digital LCD dashboard with segment-first features. The bike comes with smartphone connectivity and call alerts. The instruments cluster also comes with Turn-by-Turn navigation, Eco Mode, gear indicator, and two Trip meters. The Xpulse 200 4V comes with a luggage plate with bungee hooks, improved seat comfort, a flyscreen and a USB charger. The brand also offers petal disc brakes on the front and rear equipped with a single-channel ABS for safety.
The Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 4V comes with adventure-ready features such as 190mm front and 170mm rear long suspension travel. The bike also comes with a 21-inch front, and 18-inch rear spoke wheels shod in dual-sport tyres. The Xpulse 200 4V also gets an aluminium skid plate that protects the engine, a new toothed brake pedal and an upswept exhaust for wading through water. The motorcycle comes with a high ground clearance of 220mm and a commanding seat height of 830mm.
Hero MotoCorp also offers the Xpulse 200 4V with an FMSCI approved Rally Kit. This Rally Kit includes performance parts for the motorcycle, both road-legal and homologated for FMSCI approved motorsports events. The Rally Kit will enable riders to learn and improve their off-
road skills for competitive racing.
