Italian premium motorcycle brand Ducati has announced the launch of the 2021 Scrambler Icon, Icon Dark and 1100 Dark Pro, priced at INR 8.49 Lakh ex-showroom, INR 7.99 Lakh ex-showroom and INR 10.99 Lakh ex-showroom respectively. Furthermore, the brand has also announced that the bookings for all three models in the Scrambler range are now open at all nine Ducati dealerships in the country and the deliveries are set to commence from 28th January 2021.
The 2021 Scrambler Icon and Icon Dark are powered by a BS6 emission compliant 803cc air-cooled L-twin engine with two-valve per-cylinder Ducati Desmodromic distribution system along with Electronic fuel injection that churns out 72 Hp of power and 66.2 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed transmission with hydraulically controlled slipper and self-servo wet multi-plate clutch.
The Ducati Scrambler Icon and Icon Dark feature a new LED daytime running light integrated into the headlight, steel teardrop fuel tank, that comes with interchangeable aluminium side panels, LCD instrumentation and ergonomic switchgear. The Scrambler Icon and Icon Dark also feature revamped suspension set-up, a more comfortable riding position and New Cornering ABS. Additionally, the 2021 model also comes with the latest generation of Multimedia System integrated into the instruments cluster that offers features such as listening to music, answering calls and using the intercom with a passenger through a compatible headset.
The Scrambler Icon is offered with the hallmark “Ducati Red” paint theme alongside the classic “62 yellow” paint that features a black frame and black seat. The Scrambler Icon Dark on the other hand is offered with an iconic “Matt Black” paint theme that features a black frame, black seat and grey rims.
The 2021 Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro is powered by BS6 emission-compliant 1079cc air-cooled L-Twin engine with two valves per cylinder Desmodromic distribution system that produces 86 Hp of power and 88 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed transmission with hydraulically controlled light action wet multi-plate clutch.
The 2021 Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro features the “Dark Stealth” livery which comes with black finished chassis and subframe, matt black anodised aluminium parts, classic style rearview mirrors, a large 15-litre tank and equipment such as Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Cornering ABS and three standard Riding Modes – Active, Journey and City making the motorcycle ride as good as it looks.
