Citroen has introduced its flagship C5 Aircross SUV in the Indian market. The C5 Aircross boasts to come with the ultimate in Comfort features which includes ‘Citroen Flying Carpet Effect’, ‘Cocooned in Comfort’, ‘Panoramic Life’ and ‘Intuitive Technologies’ that simplify the life of the driver and passenger. All the above features fall under the Citroen Advanced Comfort initiative that has bee specifically design keeping in mind the demands of the Indian customer.
In the recent past, Citroen conducted research which took place across 10 cities in India with a total of 1801 respondents spread across different age groups and genders. The study was in three parts which included the Concept of Comfort, Comfort in terms of Mobility and the role of a motor vehicle plays in making the driver or passenger more comfortable. The brand has revealed the results of the survey called – ‘Comfortology’ which aims to understand how Indians’ view Comfort.
The data findings from the Comfortology report suggests that 81% of Indians look for comfort when buying a vehicle. Also, the COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to the purchase of personal mobility solutions which according to the survey is now 79% preferring personal vehicles post COVID-19 than 61% in the pre-COVID era.
The COVID-19 pandemic effect is not just limited to motor vehicles but the survey finds that in the COVID-19 era 66% of Indians find home-cooked food comfortable as compared to 35% of Indians’ during the pre-COVID era. While 22% say it is very uncomfortable to work from home, 58% are comfortable working from home.
The survey also reports that 55% believe that exposure to continuous honking is a major reason for discomfort which also includes noise and air pollution. Also, 49% of the Indians say backache, neck ache and other physical strains are a reason for discomfort and hold traffic congestion responsible for the discomfort.
