Kawasaki has launched the BS6 compliant 2021 Kawasaki Vulcan S with an upgraded BS6 engine at the price of INR 5.79 lakh ex-showroom, India. The new 2021 Vulcan S not only comes with a new BS6 emissions-compliant engine but also get a new Metallic Flat Raw Graystone paint scheme for 2021. The predecessor was offered in Black and Orange with Black paint theme and was priced at INR 5.50 lakh & INR 5.60 ex-showroom respectively.
In its new BS6 avatar, the 2021 Kawasaki Vulcan S retains the same powertrain that now adheres to the new stringent emission norms. The 2021 Vulcan S is powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled Parallel-Twin, 8-valve DOHC fuel-injected engine that produces 61 PS of power and 62.4 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed return type transmission. The outgoing model produced similar power figures but in its BS6 compliance avatar, the torque has gone down merely by 0.6 Nm. Other aspects remain similar to the older model such as the curb mass which is still 235 kg.
The 2021 Kawasaki Vulcan S also retains its design and styling details with the mild change to the exhaust system which now comes with a perforated heat shield on the Y pipe. Other design details have been carried over from the outgoing model such as the rounded headlights with a flowing design that gives the cruiser a long and low stance, tear-drop shaped fuel tank with 14-litres of capacity, an easy to read instrumentation with an analogue-style tachometer integrated with multi-purpose LCD, low seats and forward set footrest, 41mm conventional telescopic front fork suspension, a slim backbone-style rear frame with an offset laydown single-shock rear suspension, 5-spoke alloy wheels and an under-engine exhaust system.
The 2021 Kawasaki Vulcan S can be booked via Kawasaki dealerships in India and the brand’s contactless digital channel by logging on to the Kawasaki India website. In the recent past, Kawasaki also launched the all-new BS6 compliant MY 2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 in the Indian market at the price of INR 6.79 lakh ex-showroom.
