2021 BS6 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross & Hi-Lander launched in India

Isuzu has launched the 2021 BS6 D-Max V-Cross and V-Cross Hi-Lander in the Indian market. The new BS6 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross comes with a starting price of INR 16.98 ex-showroom.

The lifestyle pick-up truck will be available in two trims – Z and Z Prestige. The brand has also introduced a new entry-level Hi-Lander variant on the D-Max V-Cross. The utilitarian pick-up truck will be available in both 4×2 and 4×4 drivelines. The Hi-Lander will come with only a 6-speed manual gearbox and 4×2 driveline. The Z will come with 4×2 and 4×4 drivelines and both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. The top-spec Z Prestige is available with a 6-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 driveline option.

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross – Colours & Price

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Hi-Lander comes with a price tag of INR 16.98 lakh ex-showroom. The D-Max V-Cross Z trim with 4×2 Automatic Transmission comes at the price starting INR 19.98 lakh ex-showroom. The Isuzu V-Cross Z with 4×4 Manual Transmission comes with a price tag of INR 20.98 lakh ex-showroom. The D-Max V-Cross Z Prestige 4×4 Automatic Transmission comes at the price of INR 24.49 lakh ex-showroom. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will be available in Eight colour options – Solid White, Silky Pearl White, Cosmic Black, Titanium Silver, Spinel Red, Saffire Blue, Galena Grey and Nautilus Blue.

Features

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross features Bi-LED Auto-Levelling Projector headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels. The SUV also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking sensors and a rear camera, passive entry with start-stop, 3D Design Instrument Cluster with Chrome Rings, additional ac vents and USB Charging Ports in the second row. The V-Cross also features a new black and grey interior layout with a premium finish dashboard. The dashboard comes with piano black trim, soft-touch panels and contrast stitching. The lifestyle SUV also features sporty dual-tone brown and grey leather seating.

Powertrain

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and Hi-Lander will come with a BS6 emissions-compliant 1.9-litre in-line four-cylinder engine. The motor features a Variable Geometry Turbocharger that produces 163 PS of power and 360 Nm of torque.  The engine comes with a 4×2 and optional 4×4 driveline depending on the variant. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will come with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. The brand also boasts that the Noise, Vibrations and Harshness of the powertrain are now lower than before.

Off-Road Ability

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 4×4 variants come with a terrain command feature Shift-On-Fly drive mode. This along with a High Ride suspension offers a offers high ground clearance and the ability to traverse over tough terrain with ease. The pick-up also gets a wider track with 18-inch alloy wheels.

Dimensions

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross features butch and intimidating looks and measures 5,295mm in length, 1,860mm in width and 1,840mm in height. The large pick-up truck comes with a 3095mm wheelbase that offers roomy interiors and a large pick-up bed. The pick-up truck can seat 5 people and offers a 2400 kg GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) on the 4×2 driveline and 2510 kg GVW on the 4×4 driveline.

Safety

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross features the iGRIP platform (Isuzu Gravity Response Intelligent Platform) that ensures durability and stability. The SUV also gets safety features such as BOS (Brake Override System) and multiple airbags. The SUV comes with a height-adjustable seat belt with a pre-tensioner & load limiter, speed-sensitive auto door lock and co-driver seat belt reminder. It also gets front and rear crumple zones, cross-car front beam, door side intrusion, collapsible steering column, and underbody steel protection for the drivetrain. The top-spec trim comes with ESC (Electronic Stability Control) with TCS (Traction Control System) and HDC (Hill Descent Control).
