2021 BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition limited to 500 units worldwide

At the end of July 2020, German premium car manufacturer BMW introduced the 2020 BMW X7 Dark Shadow edition in the international market available in a limited production run of just 500 units worldwide. Now, BMW has allotted 10 units of the limited edition model for the Australian market the deliveries of which are expected to commence from March 2021. 

On the outside, the BMW X7 Dark Shadow edition features a special matte BMW Individual Frozen Arctic Grey metallic paint finish along with BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line and extended features such as high gloss black ORVMs, window line and pillars. The grille bezel and vertical slats also feature a dark chrome finish which completes the look of the SUV by appearing on the tailpipe covers, creating a contrasting look from the matte exteriors. The Dark Edition also comes with an exclusive Jet Black matte finished 22-inch M light-alloy wheels in V-spoke design and BMW Individual Roof Rail High Gloss Shadow Line. 

On the inside, the new X7 Dark Shadow features BMW Individual full leather Merino upholstery with Dark Shadow Edition specific two-tone shade of Night Blue and Black along with contrast stitching and piping as well as Night Blue with Alcantara roof liner. The Dark Edition features a Night Blue Nappa leather on top of the dashboard and instruments cluster hood, piano black finish on the central tunnel, Black with aluminium inlays on the interior trim and Black Merino leather on the lower sections. 

The BMW X7 Dark Edition is the Australian market is likely to come with 265 PS/620 Nm 3.0-litre straight-six cylinder turbo-diesel engine and a 530 PS/750 Nm 4.4-litre Twin-Turbo V8 petrol engine. The brand is likely to allocate 5 units in each of the engines. 

BMW is also expected to bring the new X7 Dark Edition in the Indian market which is likely to be announced soon.
