BMW has launched the 2021 BMW 6 Series in the Indian market at the price of INR 67.90 lakh ex-showroom. The BMW 6 Series will be available in a single petrol variant – the newly introduced BMW 630i M Sport and two diesel variants – BMW 630d M Sport and BMW 620d Luxury Line. The new 6 Series will be produced at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai and bookings for the executive sedan are open at all BMW dealerships in India from today onwards.
The BMW 6 Series comes with features such as a newly contoured BMW kidney grille that integrates the headlamp units into it, a sharper angular front fascia, new full-LED Adaptive headlights as standard, LED rear-light design, twin-pipe exhaust, a coupe-esque roofline that slopes back far into the rear deck, BMW Laserlight with 650 metres of light throw, exclusive ‘Nappa’ leather upholstery with diamond stitching, full-electric Comfort Seats, electrically adjustable backrest angle for the rear seat bench, four-zone climate control air conditioning, two-part panoramic glass sunroof, dimmable ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch fully-digital digital instrument display, 12.3-inch Control Display, BMW Virtual Assistant, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two 10.25-inch touchscreen monitors for rear seats, 16-speaker Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, Parking Assistant, Reversing Assistant, Remote Control Parking from outside using the BMW Display Key and a lot more.
Powering the ‘BMW 630i M Sport’ is a 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine that produces 258 Hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. The engine comes with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission. The BMW 620d Luxury Line comes with a 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that produces 190 Hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. The engine comes with an 8-Speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission. Powering the BMW 630d M Sport is a 3.0-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder diesel engine that produces 265 Hp of power and 620 Nm of torque. The engine comes with an 8-Speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission.
The BMW 6 Series also comes with a plethora of active and passive safety features including – six airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensors, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC), electric parking brake with auto hold, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), ISOFIX child seat mounting etc.

The BMW 6 Series is available in three variants at the introductory price starting from INR 67,90,000 ex-showroom for the BMW 630i M Sport, INR 68,90,000 ex-showroom for the BMW 620d Luxury Line and INR 77,90,000 ex-showroom for the BMW 630d M Sport. For the first time, BMW is offering the BMW Individual finish Tanzanite Blue metallic colour option on the BMW 6 Series as well as other colour options such as Phytonic Blue metallic, Piemont Red metallic and Bernina Grey Amber.
The BMW 6 Series comes with Service Inclusive and Service Inclusive Plus and customers can choose from a range of service plans. The service plans include Condition Based Service (CBS) and maintenance work with plans starting from 3-year / 40,000 km to 10-year / 2,00,000 km. The service packages start at INR 52,000 for the 3-year tenure.
