2021 992-series Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition revealed

Porsche, in a digital presentation, has unveiled the 2021 992-series 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition which incorporates design elements from the 1950s and early 60s paying tribute to the brand’s rich heritage. The Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition is a special limited edition model from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur which will be producing only 992 examples, a number that matches the internal model series code. 

On its exteriors, the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition features an exclusive Cherry Metallic paintwork with Gold logos, white livery with spear-shaped graphics Porsche Heritage badge, recollective of the one that was awarded back in the day when a Porsche 356 reached the 100,000 kilometres mark. The Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition also features details such as a 1963 Porsche Crest on the bonnet, wheel hubs, steering wheel and Key FOB. 

Other exterior features include LED headlamps with four-point marker lights, recessed bonnet, high shoulder lines, flared wheel arches, 20/21-inch Carrera Exclusive Design wheels, black finished brake callipers, horizontal lines on the front apron, a wider rear with wraparound rear windshield, silver-finished roll-over hoop with Targa badging, vertically slated air-intake on the rear, a lightbar style taillamp and dual rounded exhaust outlets.

Inside the cabin, the Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition features a combination of Bordeaux Red leather with OLEA club leather in Atacama Beige or Black leather, corduroy on seats and door trims reverberating the Porsche 356, historical motif embossed on the head restraints & key pouch, green-illuminated rev counter, perforated roof liner in microfibre fabric and a metal badge on the trim panel that bears the individual limited edition number. 

The 2021 992-series Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder, horizontally-opposed engine with twin turbochargers that produce 450 PS of power and 530 Nm of torque matched to an 8-speed dual-clutch Porsche Dopplekuplung (PDK) transmission paired to an intelligent all-wheel drive Porsche Traction Management (PTM) unit that can make the car sprint from a standstill to 100 kmph in 3.6 seconds (with Launch Control) and achieve a top speed of 304 kmph. 

To match the sports car the manufacturer’s have also created a high-quality wrist watch exclusive for the car owners limited to 992 timepieces. The 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition Chronograph is a mechanical watch which draws its design inspiration from the Porsche 356 and the iconic Targa. The mechanical timepiece is a certified chronometer with a green ring on the dial inspired by the cars’ speedometer and rev counter with white second hand and leather straps made from the Porsche interior leather embossed with ‘911’ logo as a further tribute to the sports car.

The 2021 992-series Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition is available to order now and will be available in dealerships by the end of September 2020, in the international market.
