2021 650cc Royal Enfield cruiser spotted with USD front forks, can be converted to a Bobber

It’s not a surprise anymore, we know that Royal Enfield is working on a new 650cc cruiser motorcycle for the Indian market, and also for exports. This time, we have clear spy shots which have emerged on the internet which reveal key details about this upcoming motorcycle. From the looks of it, seems like this all-new 2021 Royal Enfield cruiser inspired from the Concept KX is going to be the brands most advanced motorcycle. Also, when launched, this would be a rival to the likes of the Harley-Davidson Street 750. We expect pricing of this 2021 Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser to be in the range of INR 4 – 4.5 lakh on-road.

One interesting thing to note is that the pillion seat is a bolt-on unit, so one can also be able to buy this 2021 Royal Enfield cruiser and make it look like a single-seater Bobber model just like the Jawa Perak.

This motorcycle will have a noteworthy difference in weight and also the riders triangle would be more relaxed. However, it is not a typical feet-forward cruiser motorcycle as one can see. One can consider the Harley-Davidson Street Rod to be the inspiration for the riding position. The motorcycle is expected to reach Royal Enfield showrooms by mid-2021 and would most probably be the brands flagship motorcycle till there’s something new and better to be offered.

Here’s what the latest spy shots reveal. The 2021 Royal Enfield cruiser motorcycle will come with a large clear front windscreen with a fixed angle, round clear lens headlamp with black surround, round amber lens for turn indicators, LED tail lamp in a round shape similar to the Meteor 350, conventional round shape rear view mirrors, bar end weights, split seats contoured in shape, pillion grab rails split into 2, black painted alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, large crash guard, teardrop shaped fuel tank, chrome fuel filler cap, front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS likely, dual exhausts, black painted engine for a dark theme, black painted chassis components, USD front forks which will be a first for Royal Enfield, dual shock absorbers at the back which are not gas charged and engine bash plate. However, all of the paint & finishes seen here could be for the testing prototype, and the real deal could differ in appearance.

Powering the 2021 Royal Enfield Cruiser / Bobber will be the same engine we see on the Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650. The engine in use will be a 648cc, parallel-twin, 4-stroke, fuel-injected, air-oil-cooled motor producing 47 BHP of peak power @ 7150 RPM and 52 Nm of peak torque @ 5250 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox coupled to a slipper assist clutch.
