2020 Triumph Tiger 900 launched in India starting from INR 13.7 lakh

Triumph has launched the all-new Tiger adventure tourer motorcycle in India in a total of 3 variants. The new for 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 GT is priced at INR 13.7 lakh, Tiger 900 Rally at INR 14.35 lakh and Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro at INR 15.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Bookings are now open for the new Triumph Tiger 900 across all showrooms and deliveries will commence shortly. One look at the new motorcycle and it looks a lot sleeker than before, which should attract more buyers.

Powering the new Triumph Tiger 900 series is a 888cc, liquid-cooled, in-line 3-cylinder, 12 valve, DOHC petrol motor producing 95.2 PS of power @ 8750 RPM and 87 Nm of torque @ 7250 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle engine is obviously BS6 compliant and gets a 3×1 exhaust system. The 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 measures 1556mm in wheelbase, 930mm in width, 1410-1460mm in height, 810-830mm in seat height, has a dry weight of 194-201 kg and comes with a 20L fuel tank. Triumph claims a mileage of 5.2L / 100 km for the Tiger 900. Triumph differentiates the road going model by calling it GT while the off-road friendly model is called Rally.

The 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 comes with riding modes which include Rain, Road, Sport and Off-Road where as the Rally Pro model has an additional Off-Road Pro riding mode which is configurable by the rider. The Rally Pro model also benefits from LED fog lamps along with heated seats for rider and pillion. The Tiger 900 series gets full LED headlamps, adjustable windscreen, full digital colour display speedometer cluster, knuckle guards, LED indicators, LED tail lamps, large high mounted exhaust, alloy wheels on the GT model, wired rims on the Rally and Rally Pro, ABS, traction control, heated grips, cruise control, etc. The top spec Rally Pro additionally comes with features such as engine protection bars, metal sump guard, TPMS, shift assist and centre stand. The variants also get different suspension setup from either Marzocchi or Showa.

The new Triumph Tiger 900 rivals the likes of Honda Africa Twin CRF1000L in the adventure touring class.
