2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 XT Pro introduced in Italy

Suzuki has launched the new V-Strom 1050 XT Pro in Italy priced at EUR 15,390 which roughly converts to INR 13.35 lakh.  The XT Pro is the top-spec model which comes with add-on accessories as a standard part of the pack and is based on the V-Strom 1050 XT and remains mechanically unchanged.  The ‘Pro’ model comes with features such as aluminium side cases, the aluminium toe box, the engine guard, adjustable windscreen, adjustable handlebar and the oversized footrests, as standard. 

The motorcycle also highlights an advanced electronics package which includes Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) consisting of – Motion Track Brake System, Hill Hold Control System, Slope Dependent Control System, Load Dependent Control System, Cruise Control, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector ( SDMS), and Traction Control. The enduro touring motorcycle also features a throttle by wire system along with a new inertial platform IMU that works in 6 directions along 3 axes (pitch, roll and yaw), compared to 5 of the previous unit. The Suzuki V-Strom 1050 XT Pro also comes with features such as an LCD dashboard for speedometer, digital tachometer, gear indicator, odometer, trip meter instant and average fuel consumption, range, fuel level, etc and a UBS outlet to charge GPS devices and smartphone on the go. 

The 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 XT Pro is powered by a Euro5 emission compliant 1037cc liquid-cooled 2-cylinder 90-degree V-Twin four-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection that produces 107 PS of power and 100 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with a multi-plate clutch in the oil bath. Stopping power comes from dual 310 mm hydraulically operated disc brakes on the front and a single 260 mm disc on the rear equipped with ABS. 

In terms of mechanical hardware, the V-Strom 1050 XT Pro features fully adjustable 43mm KYB upside-down telescopic forks, monoshock with adjustable spring preload and rebound, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked rims shod in 110/80 front and 150/70 rear tyres. The V-Strom 1050 XT Pro is 2,265 mm in length, 940 mm in width, 1465 mm in height, comes with a 1,555 mm of wheelbase and a commanding 850 mm of seat height. The saddle height is also adjustable by 20mm for reach and comfort. The V-Strom 1050 XT Pro tips the scales at 247 kg and comes with a 20-litre fuel tank capacity for a longer range. 

The V-Strom 1050 XT Pro is currently only available in the Italian market and is offered in three colour options – Yellow, Black and White Orange.

Closer to home, Suzuki will be launching the BS6 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS in the Indian market soon.
