Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced that the brand has launched new exciting colours for the for much-popular Gixxer 250 and Gixxer series. Both the Gixxer and the Gixxer SF will be relaunched with new larger ‘Gixxer’ graphics making it look sportier. Both the naked and fully faired 150cc iteration will get the option of Pearl Mira Red colour along with Metallic Triton Blue on the Gixxer (150) and Gixxer 250. Both the Red and Blue have been added to the range recently.
The most notable in the new line-up is the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 featuring the New Triton Blue/Silver colour option that pays homage to Suzuki’s Global 100th anniversary. The new colour draws its inspiration from 1960s Suzuki Grand Prix racers and comes with a retro Suzuki theme that offers a traditional blue and slate silver colour palate, commemorating the brand’s racing team. Suzuki also revealed that a lot of inquires came about the launch of Triton Blue/Silver – Gixxer SF 250 after the resumption of Moto GP 2020 from last July.
In addition to the new colour liveries, Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF (150cc) comes with three colour options – Black, Silver/Black and Blue/Black while the Gixxer SF comes with Black and Silver/Black along with the Metallic Blue MotoGP edition. Similarly, the Suzuki Gixxer 250 comes with two colour options – Metallic Matte Platinum Silver/ Metallic Matte Black and Metallic Matte Black and the Gixxer SF 250 comes with Metallic Matte Platinum Silver, Metallic Matte Black and the Metallic Triton Blue in MotoGP race livery.
The Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF are powered by a Bs6 compliant 155cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC motor with fuel injection and Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology that produces 13.6 PS of power and 13.8 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed transmission. The Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250 are powered by a BS6 compliant 249cc single-cylinder 4-stroke 4-valve SOHC fuel-injected engine with an innovative Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) that cools the engine by pumping oil through the cylinder head producing 26.5 PS and 22.2 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed transmission.
