2020 Skoda Octavia 4th generation leaked online

Someone has leaked an image of the upcoming 4th generation Skoda Octavia probably from the online configurator platform, and we finally get to see what the real deal could look like. The 2020 Skoda Octavia is due to make a debut on November 11th, 2019, but this leaked image backs the set of official renderings Skoda had released just a few days back.

The 2020 Skoda Octavia 4th generation takes design cues we have seen on the Superb facelift and on the Scala. The new Skoda Octavia is expected to make an Indian debut sometime in mid-2020, with this new sedan expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo in India in February 2020. The Skoda Octavia rivals the likes of Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis, and the new model is expected to be the most expensive of the lot, but with plenty of tech features not seen in the rival cars.

The leaked image of the 2020 Skoda Octavia reveals new sleek headlamps with dual beam setup and a smoked effect. The LED DRL isn’t clearly seen, but we think it would run on the upper end of the headlamp unit mingling with the new chrome surround butterfly grille. The air dam is typical of Skoda design, nice and wide and all-black. You can also notice the horizontal placement of the fog lamp, which will most definitely also have a cornering lamp function. The new 2020 Skoda Octavia looks more like an evolution, and there is nothing wrong in that as the current car still looks good. The new generation will run on 17-18″ tyres will feature full digital speedometer console, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, leather upholstery, touchscreen infotainment, etc.

For India, we expect Skoda to introduce the new Octavia with BS6 compliant 1.8L TSI petrol and 2.0L TDI diesel engines, both with an option of a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
