2020 Royal Enfield Classic 350/500 will get semi-digital instrument console

Royal Enfield has been testing the next-generation model of their most popular classic model on the Indian roads. The rider was also seen donning Royal Enfield branded safety gears. Though in-depth detail was not available on the motorcycle, the spied images showed that the new bike is likely to come with a lot of cosmetic changes. One such change is in the instrument cluster of the motorcycle.

According to a new image that has surfaced online, the next-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350 / 500 is likely to get a semi-digital instrument console with the speedometer in classic analogue form with a rounded meter that has a white pointer needle and white indexing in both Kilometres per hour and Miles per hour. Below the analogue speedometer sits a new digital unit which is likely to have odometer readings, a trip computer, a fuel gauge, high beam and turn signal indicators. Towards the right-hand side, there is a cover on where the current motorcycle has the ammeter and as of now, we are unsure if that space will be used for something or it will have a dummy cover on the production model. The bike also gets changes in its switchgear. The new ones get a rotary-type engine kill-switch with integrated self-starter button finished in red and the left handlebar is also likely to get a headlight Low-Beam/High-Beam switch finished in black. One can also notice a hazard light switch placed where you see the starter button conventionally.

In its current form, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, twin-spark, air-cooled with a 70mm x 90mm bore and stroke that delivers 19.8 BHP of power @ 5250 RPM and 28 Nm of torque @ 4000 RPM matched to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The fuel delivery system on the motorcycle is through a 29mm constant vacuum carburettor.

And the Classic 500 is powered by a 499cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, twin-spark, air-cooled engine with an 84 mm x 90 mm bore and stroke that produces 27.2 BHP of power @ 5250 RPM and 41.3 Nm of torque @ 4000 RPM coupled to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The fuel delivery on the Classic 500 is through an Electronic Fuel Injection system.
