Naked superbikes are the talk of the town at the moment. Ducati has revealed the Streetfighter V4 and Kawasaki has also showcased their Z H2. Both the new contenders produce around the 200 HP power figure and now, MV Agusta is ready with their Brutale 1000 RR superbike. This 2020 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR is a mass-market iteration of the Brutale 100 Serie Oro edition which went on sale earlier. The 2020 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR has been priced at €29,900, which is roughly INR 24 lakh.
Powering the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR is a 998cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 208 HP of power @ 13000 RPM and 116.5 Nm of torque @ 11000 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The brand claims that this bike can sprint over 300 kmph easily. The engine comes with liquid-cooling and oil radiators for heat management. The bike will come with torque control coupled with 4 maps, traction control with 8 level adjustment and wheelie control. MV Agusta claims a mileage of 6.7 l/100 km for the Brutale 1000 RR. The bike also comes with a up / down quickshifter.
The bike measures 2080mm of length, 805mm of width, 845mm of seat height, wheelbase of 1415mm, 186 kg of weight, 16L of fuel tank and minimum ground clearance of 141mm.
The bike drops the carbon fibre wheels and titanium components seen on the Serie Oro limited edition. The Brutale 1000 RR comes with forged wheels, carbon fibre inserts, 5″ TFT colour display, cornering lights, full LED lighting, split seats, LED DRLs, etc. Equipment includes Phlins NIC EC USD front fork with 120mm travel and a Ohlins TTX rear monoshock with 120mm travel. Top notch Brembo brakes are also on offer.
We expect MV Agusta to introduce the Brutale 1000 RR in India around mid-2020. For sure, it is a very good looking motorcycle. But this one just like other MV Agusta bikes will be very expensive.
