2020 KTM RC 390 starts road testing, looks bigger!

Many of use have been waiting for this for a very long time. Finally, KTM has show interest in the entry level supersport segment, and the next-generation RC 390 sportsbike has been spotted testing. Seen on the road on international soil, expect the new KTM RC 390 to make a global debut at either INTERMOT or EICMA 2019. When announced, this will be launched as a 2020 model, and for sure, it will be made and sold here in India.

Spyshots reveal the following changes:

  • New front fairing
  • New side fairing styling
  • New & rounder windscreen
  • New headlamps
  • Sleeker tail section, with cowl effect pillion seat
  • Exhaust similar to the current KTM 390 Duke
  • Reworked rear subframe
  • New tail lamp
  • New seat
  • Larger fuel tank (visibly)

Apart from these visible changes, we can be sure that the 2019-20 KTM RC 390 will come with a TFT colour display instrument cluster, LED headlamps, ABS, slipper clutch, ride-by-wire, and may be a few extra party tricks.

Powering the bike will be the same engine, the 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder block. Let’s hope for some power and torque increase for this model change.

Exciting times for sure. When launched, the KTM RC 390 will again create a new benchmark in the segment.
