2020 KTM 250 Duke gets BS6 engine with new colour & graphics

KTM has launched the BSVI emission compliant 2020 KTM 250 Duke at the price of INR 2,00,576 ex-showroom, Delhi. The model year 2020 KTM 250 Duke now comes with 2 new colours and graphics styling – Dark Galvano and Silver Metallic. Also, the new 250 Duke comes equipped with dual-channel ABS with SuperMoto mode as standard.

The workhorse on the KTM 250 Duke is a 248.8cc, single-cylinder, 4-Valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, DOHC engine that churns out 30 PS of power @ 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of torque @ 7,500 rpm coupled to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist & slipper clutch.

Other hardware on the KTM 250 Duke is a Split Steel Trellis Frame with 43mm diameter WP-Open Cartridge front fork and pre-load adjustable WP monoshock on the rear. The stopping power on the 250 Duke comes from a 320mm single disc with a 4-piston fixed caliper on the front and a 230mm single disc with a single-piston floating caliper on the rear wheel. For safety, the KTM 250 Duke comes with a Bosch Dual Channel ABS (with SuperMoto). The KTM 250 Duke comes with a 13.5-litre fuel tank and the motorcycle weighs in at 161.9 kg (W/O Fuel).

The new BSVI compliant model of the KTM 250 Duke is available for sale priced at INR 2,00,576 ex-showroom, Delhi which is INR 3,328 higher than the BSIV 250 Duke priced at INR 1,97,248 ex-showroom, Delhi. KTM has not introduced the RC series with the 250cc motor. The brand has a RC series sportsbike and a Duke naked street bike with each and every engine of theirs except for the 250 Duke and 790 Duke. The 250 Duke is hailed as the most versatile motorcycle in the KTM line-up.

KTM will launch the new-generation of Duke & RC motorcycles later this year at the EICMA show in Milan, and the new bikes could debut in 2020. We expect the 390 range of bikes to be introduced first and the lower capacity bikes with higher volumes to follow shortly. KTM recently has launched the 390 Adventure in India with prices starting from INR 2.99 lakh ex-showroom.
