2020 Kawasaki Versys 650 BS6 now available at INR 30,000 discount

Kawasaki recently updated the Versys 650 adventure tourer to BS6 conformity in the Indian market and now the brand is offering a discount of INR 30,000 on the motorcycle during the festive season in the Indian market. The offer will be valid till the 30th of November 2020 until the stock lasts and is based on a first-come-first-served basis. The all-new BS6 compliant MY 2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 in the Indian market at the price of INR 6.79 lakh ex-showroom.

The MY 2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 is powered by a BS6 emission-compliant 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with fuel injection technology that produces 66 PS of power and 61 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. Kawasaki has upgraded the engine and a number of changes have been made to the intake and exhaust system components to achieve BS6 conformity. Where other manufacturers reported a drop in power and torque, Kawasaki boasts the new BS6 compliant motor develops more torque in the mid-range while maintaining the power of the previous model.  

The Versys 650 features adventure styling with an upright front nose, tall adjustable windscreen, twin split headlamps, a wide handlebar with upright riding position, large 21-litres capacity fuel tank that enables longer range and the newly designed tank is shorter so that the rider can position himself closer to the handlebar, digital-analogue instrumentation and more. 

For mechanical parts, the MY 2021 Versys 650 features a high-tensile steel diamond frame that rides on an adjustable rebound damping & adjustable preload equipped 41 mm upside-down telescopic fork with 150mm of wheel travel, offset laydown monoshock with remote spring preload adjustability and 145 mm of wheel travel. The braking power comes from twin 300mm semi-floating petal discs with 2-piston callipers on the front and single 250 mm petal disc with a single-piston calliper on the rear. The highway focused middleweight Adventure Tourer comes with 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, has a tall 840mm of seat height and tips the scale at 218 kg at the kerb.

The Kawasaki Versys 650 is available in a single ‘Candy Lime Green’ and is available to order via the Kawasaki official website in India and through authorised dealerships.
