2020 Kawasaki Versys 1000 launched in new colour, priced at INR 10.89 lakh

Kawasaki has introduced a new livery for the Versys 1000 adventure tourer motorcycle as a 2020 model. The brand has kept the pricing the same, which is INR 10.89 lakh ex-showroom. The Kawasaki Versys 1000 rivals the likes of Honda Africa Twin, Ducati Multistrada 950 & Triumph Tiger 800. Bookings are now open for the 2020 Kawasaki Versys 1000 and deliveries will commence in a few weeks time.

The 2020 Kawasaki Versys 1000 now comes with a new ‘Candy Lime Green/Metallic Spark Black’ paint option and the previous white paint option also continues to be on sale. There are no mechanical changes or new parts on the 2020 model, only a new colour added to the Versys 1000, that’s it.

Powering the Kawasaki Versys 1000 is a 1043cc, liquid-cooled, in-line, 4-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve petrol motor producing 120 PS of power @ 9000 RPM and 102 Nm of torque @ 7500 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox coupled to a slipper assist clutch. The bike has a seat height of 840 mm, kerb weight of 255 kg, ground clearance of 150 mm and fuel tank capacity of 21L which is exceptional for touring.

Features of the Kawasaki Versys 1000 include a twin-tube aluminium frame, long travel USD front fork, adjustable rear monoshock, radial-mounted brake calipers at the front, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, adjustable front windscreen, DC power socket, digital + analogue speedo console, electronic throttle valves, cruise control, cornering management, traction control, ABS, etc.
