2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650 will be priced in India between INR 6.45 – 6.75 lakh

Kawasaki has announced that the BS6 compliant version of their popular Ninja 650 motorcycle will soon be launched in India. The Japanese manufacturer has revealed at the Ninja 650 will be positioned between INR 6.45 – INR 6.75 lakh ex-showroom which is a price hike in the range of INR 50,000 – 70,000. However, for this price hike, you get some noteworthy changes which do justify the asking amount. The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650 will be available in Lime Green Ebony and Pearl Flat Stardust White with Black paint options. In due course of time, a KRT edition will surely be made available. This launch also is the brands first locally assembled BS6 compliant fully-faired motorcycle. The Ninja 650 has been loved as a versatile motorcycle in the middle-weight category, and it now gets more equipment to meet stiffer competition.

The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650 apart from the new colours comes with full LED headlamp with a new split design, new front windscreen, 4.3″ TFT colour display speedometer with smartphone connectivity, Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres, revised fairing design, new pillion seat, mirror mounts have changed, new body decals, etc. The speedometer cluster also allows riders to decide between negative or positive backlit display while riding for more personalised feeling.

The 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, 4-stroke petrol motor which is now BS6 compliant continues to be matched to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper assist clutch. The Motor now produces the same 67.2 BHP of power but the torque has reduced by 1.7 Nm which was 65.7 Nm before. The 2020 Ninja 650 continues with the same engine underbelly exhaust and still meets the BS6 norms. Of course, there would have been enough changes to the overall exhaust system to reduce the tail pipe emissions.

The Kawasaki Ninja 650 has never seen an ideal rival here in India, while some might consider the 4-cylinder Honda CBR650R as a contender. Kawasaki is now accepting bookings for this new motorcycle.
