2020 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Electric (EV Endeavor) to get KERS, Reverse Mode, Dual Charging Ports and more

A few weeks back, we shared with you some key details about Kawasaki’s new electric motorcycle project. Dubbed as the EV Endeavor, the Japanese manufacturer has released 5 more videos which share additional details of this pure electric sportsbike which seems like a battery-operated Kawasaki Ninja 300. Kawasaki is likely to reveal this all-electric Ninja 300 based EV in 2020 at one of the international motorcycle shows, or may be via a digital unveiling considering the COVID-19 pandemic which has brought the whole world to a standstill. Nevertheless, this could be the brands most affordable sportsbike for the world and having it based on the Ninja 300 is not a bad idea at all.

The latest videos reveal that the 2020 EV Endeavor Kawasaki Ninja 300 electric bike will have plenty of cutting edge patented technology which will set the motorcycle apart. The brand has also revealed that the bike will come with dual charging ports along with a fast charging CHAdeMO point so that rides can swing a leg without having to wait too long. To further enhance the riding experience by increasing the riding range, this bike with come with energy recovery system or KERS as we see on high end electric vehicles. While the weight of this motorcycle is unknown, to make it easily maneuverable, Kawasaki will offer a reverse mode with the unique manual gearbox set to be coupled to the electric motor. While the bike seems to be ready with plenty of testing already done, there is no official launch timeline shared.

A quick recap on the details shared earlier, the motorcycle will come with features such as 4-speed manual gearbox, better centre of gravity thanks to no FUEL making the bike top heavy, instant torque delivery for rapid acceleration, no exhaust obviously. Another feature which we might see on this motorcycle is traction control and launch control, as seen in the 10th video for this project. While many would miss the sound of an internal combustion motor and a loud pipe attached to it, the future seems to have a lot of battery whine noise for us.

Expect more details on the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Electric (EV Endeavor) to be revealed in the weeks to come. Let’s hope the brand has a striking KRT livery for this model.
